Danny (Vahidollah) Moradi, owner of Busy Province Services Ltd, is a fraud. While his core work was (mostly) good on the bathroom remodel I hired him for earlier this year, he caused a leak while working that damaged 3 lower units in the building (more on this below). Aside from this, he was NEVER on time, asked for money well in advance of doing the work and agreed upon timeline (all cash - we agreed on 50% deposit, another 25% half-way through project and final 25% after completion - he asked for the first 25% less than a week into the project, with nothing done aside from one bathroom half demolished and tried to get me to pay everything well before the work was completed, which I refused. He seems to have severe cash flow problems), took double the time we agreed upon (1 month for two bathrooms was agreed, he took almost two months including time we were on vacation!). When challenges arose with the hardware agreed upon he took it upon himself to change the agreement and install different colour vanity, mirror instead of cabinet etc without checking with me and then tried to charge me when I said that this is not what I wanted and to change it back to what was agreed! Back to the leak: he promised to fix the damage in the other units before he was done with the remodels, and while he painted two units, the third unit's floors were damaged due to water seeping underneath. He said he had finished the job, I paid him the remaining balance of my remodel and then the next day I got an email from my neighbours saying he didn't show up and is not answering his phone. At this point 1.5 months had passed, which is more than reasonable for my neighbours to wait for the repair. When prompted, he said he didn't have time to fix it and then stopped responding. I then had to hire someone else to do the work ($1000 bill) and he refused to pay it despite being given innumerable chances to do the work himself or hire (and pay) someone instead. I have now taken him to court for this (and other smaller neglects we found when using the bathrooms for a few days) and it turned out HE IS WORKING WITH AND REGISTERED HIS BUSINESS UNDER FALSE ADDRESSES IN BURNABY! His website now says he is Coquitlam??? There is something extremely fishy here. Registered mail was returned and when I drove to the address provided by him (and the different one under which his business is officially registered with the province) they either did not exist or someone else lived there. THIS IS FRAUDULENT. There is now an OUTSTANDING COURT ORDER against him and his business as he did not respond to the dispute I filed. If you want to save yourself a lot of headache, time and money working with one of the most unprofessional people I have EVER worked with, go to one of the many many fantastic other contractors out there. Don't say you weren't warned. He might be good to lay a tile or two, but if you are thinking of hiring him for a project that needs the least bit of time management and organization, this guy will ensure it will turn you off renovations for good.
