If you decide to go with this “company” you are in for a lot of surprises. We received a quote for fence work and within ONE week of getting the quote from Paul, it went up by almost $600. Take it or leave it kind of deal. We still decided to book, since we needed to get the fence done asap. Once we booked a date, there was a ton of issues. This all occurred within the week leading up to the day of the fence work. After sending Paul the locates that I had requested, he decided that the one side of the fence would be too much work to hand dig the posts, so he was unable to do it. We asked for another quote for the “extra work”, which he never provided. He just didn’t want to do it. So now we were only getting one side of the fence done. Paul said that he needed to order the materials asap to ensure that they get delivered on Friday, so we agreed. This was on Tuesday. On Thursday (2 days before the job), we receive a message from Paul saying there is an issue with the HD website, and he is unable to place an order so we need to change the post size and order from Rona. He provided us with the cost for that. We didn’t agree to make any last minute changes, since we already had purchased the fence caps. I tried the HD website myself and there were no issues with ordering, and delivery for same day or next day, which I told him. Suddenly, he said that he had someone else try to place the order and all is good. That evening I asked for an updated invoice, and never received a response. The next day I reached out again, and to my surprise Paul said that he wasn’t sure that the materials were going to get there in time for the job, which was scheduled for the next day (Saturday). I was confused since I was told that the materials were going to be delivered that day. He then told me that he chose curbside PICK up instead of delivery. Curbside pick up was delayed due to the many orders, which clearly states on the HD website. A couple hours later, he said that he is unable to complete the job due to not being able to get the materials in time, and he is busy for the next month. I asked him when was the earliest that he can reschedule us, and he wouldn’t give us a date. I asked again to please give us a date. He then made more excuses that materials were hard to get. So he has these jobs lined up for the next month, but there are issues getting materials? Since he already ordered ours, it would only make sense to rebook us. He then said that he cancelled the order. We did not expect this at all. After all the troubles, we were understanding and all we asked was to be rebooked for another date. We lost spots with good contractors because we chose to go with this company. Be prepared for many surprises and long wait times for a response. He does this work part time, and he is very unprofessional and unreliable. There is no excuse to treat paying customers this way.
