These guys are amazing. They were significantly cheaper than the other companies I considered. Before the move, there was a lot of communication about their arrival time, pricing, and a confirmation the day before. All of the movers who showed up were very polite and friendly. They worked quickly but carefully and even helped set up and arrange things at the new place, which they didn't have to do. Best of all, they didn't try to nickel and dime me with the final charges. This was the best moving experience I've ever had, and I wish all service companies and workers were this professional!

I booked their services last minute, just a day before my move, and they made it incredibly easy and convenient for me. The pricing was very reasonable for the high-quality service I received, from the initial phone call to booking and the actual moving service. Their explanation of the pricing was professional and clear, with no hidden fees or confusion.
The movers themselves were professional, enjoyable to work with, and they exceeded my expectations by going above and beyond what I had asked for. One aspect that truly stood out, aside from their attitude, was their speed. They finished the job much faster than I had anticipated, all while taking great care not to damage any of my belongings or make mistakes.

I had a positive experience with this company. They arrived on time and were ready to work. While moving my couch into the new place, we encountered a challenge: it almost fit through the front door. The movers, John and his team, asked for my permission before attempting a different angle that could potentially scuff a nearby post. Although that approach didn't work, these guys managed to get the couch in through the bedroom window at the back of the house and even put the screen back in place when they were done. John and his team were not only friendly but also highly professional. Based on this single experience, I find that this company has good hiring practices and fair pricing. I would definitely use their services again.

This was my first time using movers, and I'm glad I chose GetMovers after comparing several moving companies in my area. I didn't have much stuff, and my heaviest item was only 76 lbs, so Victor, the customer service staff, recommended that I have 2 movers for my move. John and Tim were my movers. They arrived on time. I was very pleased with the quality and speed of their work. The entire move only took 3 hours. Both my old place and my new place have several flights of stairs without any elevators, yet they were able to transport my belongings quickly and easily.

They had all the equipment, tools, blanket wraps, boxes, and everything they needed, and they knew exactly what to do with my belongings. They also very carefully wrapped, packed, unpacked, disassembled, and assembled my heavy glass computer desk, ensuring it made it safely to my new place without any scratches.

I had overprepared by buying some mattress plastic bags and computer bags, and none of those were needed. I literally didn't have to do anything except inform them which items to pack and where to unpack them in my new place.

The pricing was average and comparable to other moving companies in my area. It was slightly more expensive than some and slightly cheaper than others.

By the way, John and Tim were also friendly.

Overall, I was very satisfied with GetMovers. Everything went smoothly, so I will definitely use this company again when it's time for me to move to another place someday.

Alright, so I decided to go with these guys because their quoted time didn't seem completely out to lunch and the price was reasonable...

That was my first mistake.

So the two movers arrive on site to move a one bedroom apartment, what took Globe (3 movers) less than an hour, took these two an hour and a half, not ideal, but not the worst thing in the world.

What was the worst part about it is that one of the two movers stayed at the truck about 1/3 of the time, probably to arrange boxes I told myself, and everything got into the truck in about an hour and a half.

Started at 9:00 AM, ended loading at 10:30 AM

This is where things go totally awry.

Travel Time: about half an hour, we start up at 11:00 AM

We arrive, and one of the movers begins to complain outright that there are stairs, despite being invoiced for said stairs when I made the quote, reminded GetMovers about said stairs when they texted me about the job and organized the invoice, then reminded them once again about a week before the move when checking in to make sure that everything was good to go.

So a bit of bellyaching isn't a problem... until the bellyaching mover disappears for most of the move, leaving his partner to haul up the tiniest items they can for the next four hours.

About an hour or two after they start hauling items in, the bellyaching mover comes up and starts to demand that I pay for the move, this of course goes without saying that they haven't even moved all of my items into the unit.

Of course as they have the rest of my stuff, I have to pay the price, they quoted to their dispatch that it would take them another two and a half hours to finish up, so they billed me accordingly.

At this point, with the one guy taking tiny items by hand up the stairs, not even using the dollies they brought with them, I was quite frustrated, but the cherry on this ridiculous sundae was after the payment was done, they started putting items wherever they could, completely ignored where I told them from the outset to put the big items and if I hadn't demanded they move the items to where I told them they needed to be, they would have run outta there like a bandit.

Now, to keep this in mind, I mentioned Globe earlier, the items these two were moving... Globe's three-man team moved from one apartment to another in two hours, to be fair there were elevators at both locations, but I can't imagine Globe having taken more than an extra hour to do the job with the stairs in the way.

So, to keep score, and to be fair:
It took Globe an hour to load and drive to the new apartment.
It took GetMovers two hours to do the same load to a new apartment.

What burned me the most is during the unload, they literally had one mover just sitting in the truck while the other was hauling up small items like laundry baskets and the like, and the bellyaching mover only showed up when a box required two people to lift it, otherwise he was MIA.

And when I spoke to GetMovers about this... they had the nerve to claim they didn't know about the stairs... I told them three times about it, never hid there being stairs in the move, and wasn't trying to play coy and avoid the stairs surcharge (which I assumed was so that they would bring stairs specific equipment, no it's just a tax.)

So now I'm being the vocal angry customer as they not only wasted my time, fleeced me while my stuff was still loaded, and dared to insult my intelligence by making it sound like I had hidden important information from them so it was my fault the movers took so long.

We hired GetMovers to move our three-bedroom house. They were on time, nice, and quick. When they got to our place, I showed them our stuff, and they started working right away. They carefully wrapped up our big furniture and put all the boxes on their big truck in just one trip. When we got to our new house, they unloaded everything carefully, put down protective mats for the floor, and put our furniture back together. It was a great and easy experience. I'd hire them again for our next move.

Working with GetMovers was a breath of fresh air! Sharonii arranged my move and was very accommodating, considering I had a narrow moving window due to upcoming travel plans. On the day of the move, the movers maintained constant communication with me, providing an estimated time of arrival. When they arrived, they worked swiftly and completed the packing and unpacking without any issues. They were also very friendly and professional. I highly recommend them!

My experience with this moving company was nothing short of a catastrophic disaster. They sent two utterly inexperienced movers who not only had a significant language barrier but also displayed an alarming lack of professionalism. Despite providing them with detailed information about our belongings and our strict timeframe on multiple occasions, they estimated the job would take over 6.5 hours, which was a gross misjudgment. To make matters worse, they complained incessantly about a one-floor descent in a perfectly functional elevator.

The nightmare reached its peak when we realized we couldn't complete the move within our agreed window, a situation exacerbated by the fact that my son and I have disabilities. Despite my attempts to communicate this to the movers, they appeared utterly disinterested or unable to comprehend. I even had to repeatedly point out which items were not to be moved, and one mover asked me three times if he should move them. When we contacted the company for assistance, their proposed solutions were equally disastrous. They suggested holding our belongings overnight, leaving us with nothing but mattresses to sleep on the floor, or sending another truck and mover, which was irrelevant by then.

The billing process was equally bizarre and frustrating. They insisted on charging us for 4.5 hours of work, even though the movers had stopped at noon, which was a mere 3 hours into the job. This led to an absurd conversation with their representative, where I had to painstakingly count the hours to prove it was only 3. To top it off, they demanded cash or an e-transfer, which was impossible for us to provide, forcing us to divulge our sensitive information over the phone. The movers even had the audacity to ask if we wanted to add a tip after this nightmare. This entire experience has left us in shambles, with our son missing school and my work schedule in tatters. Our belongings were handled with zero care, and we now face the daunting task of moving everything ourselves due to the significant portion of our moving budget they took. I cannot emphasize enough how critical it is to steer clear of this abysmal company. Avoid at all costs.

I had a very bad experience with get movers. I gave them my date of the move 4 months in advance and advised of the type and amount of items. 2 days before my move they tried to change the time, then told me they didnt have a big enough truck. I spoke with someone who guaranteed it would fit and said that he was sending the strongest movers.
On the day of my move the guys were great in the beginning, but when we got to my new house they got sloppy. I have damage to multiple items, as well as damage to my walls, stairs, trim and storm door. All from them bumping and hitting things.
My furniture was put back together incorrectly, two beds were unusable. They also threw (literally) items into my garage at the end, something I did not see until the next day.
I reached out to the company by phone asking for help to have someone put the furniture together properly and was asked to send an email with pictures. One month later I did not get a response.
I would not recommend them.
