Don't pay until the job is done

I hired Celin Construction to fix my sinking garage floor. After paying $12,000 for the repair, the floor lacks proper slope, causing water and snow to accumulate inside the garage. Additionally, although Celin Construction convinced me that epoxy would solve the problem (and convinced me to incur half the cost), it failed to do so. To add to the frustration, they ended up asking me for more than half of the agreed-upon cost. Consequently, I refused to pay the final $400, believing that the job was incomplete. Had I been aware of these issues beforehand, I would have approached the payment differently to ensure that the problem was adequately addressed. Hope this helps you.
