John and his partner are second to none, I cannot say enough good things about these two guys! The project was completed in a very short time period and these two guys are among the hardest workers I have ever seen, and very friendly and easy to work with. They are professionals and craftsmen at their finest. My wife and I had 5 quotes provided to us and we went with H&K Stucco for the following reasons: 1) the price was excellent 2) the work is top notch 3) they were one of the few who provided painting services to cover my eaves, facia, downspouts and soffits 4) they could do the work quickly and professionally 5) they took care of some extras, especially when it came to around the foundation with some excellent parging work. We have a 120 year old brick home in the upper beaches of Toronto, and the brick was not in good condition in many places - this was not an easy job by any stretch, but these guys exceeded our expectations on every level. Please take a look at a couple of before and after photos, and I think you'll be impressed!

I hired H & K Stucco to paint the stucco and wood beams on the front of my Tudor style house (2nd level only). Overall I was very pleased with many aspects of the work, although they chose not to pressure wash the stucco prior to painting or use primer, as is standard. When I agreed on the price ($4,000), I was under the impression that it would take approximately 3-4 days to complete the job. I was upset when I could see that the crew was finishing the job after just 1.5 days (around 25 hours total for both men). Assuming paint and materials were $200, the price they charged was equivalent to $150/hour! $40-50 per hour is probably fair and leaves room for overhead and a decent profit. H & K reduced the price by $200 when I complained, but I'm still not happy. Be very careful about the price if you hire this company and be sure to understand how long a job should take, if price is important to you.

In advance of us listing our house on MLS, John and his team did an excellent job fixing some Stucco problems and repainting the whole house. He was very pleasant and responsive to our needs. The house now looks great for the Open House.
