We hired Magnolia to fix a crumbling foundation and to rebuild a sinking back addition on our historic home in Ottawa. Joey and the workers he hired (especially Chris and team) did an excellent job, and we are very pleased with the final results! The job wasn't without a few hiccups - this was tough structural work and happened during a pandemic - but workers always showed up, Joey always responded to concerns (even by texts well outside of work hours) and he was ultimately completely true to his word on everything, including the cost of the project. Joey seems to be a rare honest contractor who sticks to his word and makes himself available to clients... we certainly recommend Magnolia.

In the summer of 2021 we reached out to Magnolia to get a quote for a basement renovation for a new build home. We were promptly contacted with a call from the owner to start moving the process along. Not long after magnolia visited our house to get an idea of what we envisioned for our basement and provided guidance on ideas. We received a quote which held true throughout the completion of the project. We moved along with accepting the quote in the fall under the condition the basement would be done before christmas. Magnolia was able to deliver on the timing they committed to which we were very pleased with.

Everyone we worked with at Magnolia from the owner, to all the trades were very respectful and knowledgeable of what they were doing. We were given great advice throughout the project on ideas to improve the quality of our basement. Given we have a new build home we wanted the basement to feel as though it is part of the home. This was the case all finishings were matched to our home and the feel of the basement is similar to the rest of the house. Overall we were very appreciative of the timeliness and quality of the work completed by Magnolia and would recommend them to anyone looking for any project.

We recently completed a full remodel of our basement with Magnolia Construction. Not only did they meet the expectations, they also went above and beyond to exceed them. From the start of our design process through construction and follow-up, Magnolia Construction demonstrated their professionalism, expertise, customer service, and true passion for their business. Magnolia Construction has excellent project management, ensuring a successful project. They very clearly outlined expectations for budget and timeline, and worked with us to adjust and fine-tune both as needed. Ultimately, our project was completed on budget and on time (give or take a few additional days for final touch ups). Magnolia Construction goes above and beyond to ensure they address any questions or concerns immediately, even coming by our house after hours. Such a minor issue was treated with a very impressive sense of urgency.
Not only are we extremely pleased with the final result of our basement, but we are also excited to have found a reputable, respectable, trustworthy company to partner with again in the future. Had a great experience with Magnolia. Joey was quick to reply and helpful, and the job (waterproofing a foundation wall that had started to leak) was done extremely quickly and efficiently, with a minimum of disruption.

We started the discussion for the bathroom addition in spring 2021, it was not an easy process as there is a lot of paper work to be done with the city. However, in August 2021 Joey and his team started the job, and you cannot imagine my happiness when at the end of October everything was done, including all the inspections and project approval!

Thank you to Joey and the Magnolia team for renovating our bathroom. The luxurious finishes, heated floor, custom-built double sink vanity, and beautiful tiles have transformed a rather outdated space to a beautiful bathroom.

In 2020 we contracted with Magnolia to renovate two bathrooms and build a third in the basement. Covid 19 caused a delay until April 2021. Magnolia held their quoted prices as did the vanity manufacturer we were referred to even though there had been scarce supplies and prices of lumber for example had increased. .

The project which entailed gutting the master bathroom and building a walk in shower and all new vanity, granite counter top and fixtures, upgrading the 2nd bathroom with a new vanity, granite counter, new mirrors and lighting, and installing a 3 piece bathroom in the basement took longer than expected because of Covid 19. Trades had to be scheduled, various suppliers were out of stock, etc.
