repairs

Well I will start of that I was very excited about my project.

I wanted my bathrooms redone. The main reason I was getting my
main bathroom done was i needed my ceiling replaced as it was in rough shape. I was told by Ryan that his professional opinion that the ceiling didn't need to be replaced, if any issues he told me he would fix for me. It is in worse shape then it has ever been. Also the bathroom doors installed I told him were not square, I can't even close the main bathroom when I have a shower. The work was finished in March/20 , we didn't even do a walkthrough as he was busy. I paid for the service.
I have tried to communicate with Ryan multiple times in the summer and have tried a few times in September, but with no luck. I am very frustrated that i was told it was all going to be done and now I have a worse ceiling than I did before and a bathroom door that does not close properly.

Approximate cost of services:
$6,000.00

Company Response

I wasn't sure what to make of this review when I first read it, But after going through my old phone messages and paperwork last week, I'd like to clarify a few things.

If we replaced the ceiling, that wouldn't solve the underlying problem, which was never investigated. Either your exhaust fan was clogged, or there is moisture getting in from the attic. You were certain replacing the drywall would solve it. I'm as certain now as I was then that this is incorrect. We re-mudded and used an oil based primer. There is little to no chance that moisture from within the room has caused that damage. They looked good when we left. Drywall compound doesn't simply fail after a few months. If it did, the entire ceiling would be affected. It is my professional opinion that I was correct the first time. If you can verify I was wrong about this, I will gladly refund you for that part of the work.

As for the door; Again, this would be the first of the hundreds (maybe thousands) of doors I have installed that simply failed or fell out of square. If the door was installed incorrectly, it wouldn't have shut properly in the first place. If it somehow shifted, you'd see the trim separated at the seams. I've never heard of such a thing happening as a result of anything other than misuse. Perhaps I'm wrong. If you can verify this to be the case somehow, I will also refund this.

While I fully admit you are correct that I was difficult to reach and make a schedule with, I would not have repaired those issues under warranty, for the reasons I just laid out anyways. Perhaps I erred in judgement and should have explained that in more detail. If you felt ignored, You do genuinely have my apology. That is far from the reputation I hope to maintain.

Also, in my text messages, I can confirm that I did indeed request a walk through and it was you that declined. So I don't accept your assertion. I'll let our other reviews speak for themselves where our integrity is concerned. It was March 2020 as you said. We were the least busy we've ever been. I also think your previous 10 star review will attest to that fact as well.

Sorry you are unhappy.
