Could not have had a worse experience. I have actually never seen or experienced anything even close to this in my life. Good Earth Builders, and their owner, have caused my family and I more stress and headaches than you could possibly imagine. We signed a contract in early January and were told we would be done late March. After a few scope changes, we both signed off on a new completion date of April 15. It is now July 27 and we are still waiting for things to be completed even though the owner is saying they are done. I have been sworn at, blamed, and generally treated like a piece of garbage this entire process. One major thing to note. We hired a very reputable interior designer that we created very specific drawings and a selection sheet with. All Good Earth Builders needed to do was follow the drawings and selection sheet. In many cases, they did not. For whatever reason they thought they should make the cabinets whatever shape, size, and design they desired, without communicating with us, the customer. I was told by the owner that I lacked "construction sense" but my understanding is that the paying customer is the one who decides what the renovation should look like. For example, our closet was supposed to be built 84" tall and 18" deep. They decided, without any communication, to build it 90.5" tall and 21" deep. This is one example of many. Our cabinets are full of dings, scratches, marks, and in some cases, the wrong colour! (See photo below). Vents were never covered and the entire furnace/HVAC system was filled with construction debris. Our front steps, a few windows, and some doors were damaged and not replaced. Just an all around massive failure on my part to move forward with this company. A very expensive lesson learned.
