Contractor with a BAD ATTITUDE

Daniel and his crew gave us the worst construction experience we've ever had . Daniel had a hard time taking accountability for his mismanagement and mistakes made by his trades and himself. He was unprofessional, sloppy in his workmanship, and aggressive with his attitude. He charged premiums for every extra nail that was hammered. We tried to fire him several times which was constantly met with threats of money owed. In the end his workmanship was poor and we hired more trades to fix his work. The worst part was he was incredibly rude. He is a kid with no business ethics. We would NEVER recommend him again.

Approximate cost of services:
$150,000.00

Company Response

Hi Jenna Pearce, for people to better understand the circumstances of this project I thought I would finally respond and explain. First of all I believe this review to be very inaccurate. This was an F45 gym build out at king and Portland that we started on January 1st 2020. Very unfortunate and unexpected time for everybody in the world. With Covid first being introduced and nobody knowing what to expect we still ended up completing your project and on time. With constant threats to me and word for word "if you do not finish my project so I can open my gym I will not pay you, I do not care about your workers getting sick or spreading Covid". We indeed finished the project by March 1st working tirelessly over nights and weekends. Also later finding out that you were showing up to the job site while sick with Covid, on multiple occasions. The additional costs you incurred had nothing to do with the contractor but instead your architect you hired and the city. I understand your frustration as you were doing the project on a bank loan but I have no control when the inspector asks for a backflow preventer and a backwater valve to be installed. HVAC needed to be improved from original drawing along with mechanical and electrical. All parts of the project that are out of the contractors control. I'm sorry you couldn't open your studio because of government regulations and I'm sorry you felt the need to leave a false review over a year and a half later.
