Very good overall experience dealing with Elliam.
When we were getting quotes they were competitive and very transparent starting from a high level esimate from initial contact and ulimately ending in a detailed breakdown with clear responsibilities.
During the job there were some surprises with the construction of our house, Mike called us in, showed and described the issue, made recommendations for resolution as well communicating additional cost implications if we decided to proceed with the recommnedation (which we did). Mike also offered advice on what would look good with regard to colour matching, shower door placement etc. Job site was always left clean and protective covering was placed on our floors. All contractors and subcontractors were professional and friendly. Everyone worked quickly and efficiently and communication was good throughout the project. Mike tells it how it is and in our opinion is very trustworthy.
Final billing came in with no surprises including complete transparency with regard to subcontracted and addititional costs. Best of all the shower looks amazing with top quality workmanship. Will definately go back to Elliam for any future projects.

We have used Elliam Contracting for many Renovations for our home and business. He did almost our whole house and are looking into our basement.
He renovated our kitchen, bar and bathrooms at our restaurant and ensured we were fully wheelchair accessible.

Elliam Contracting has restored my faith in contractors. We started out with a quote to renovate the main floor of my 1980s house. The main reason for this renovation was to move the existing kitchen into what was the dining room, to get a larger and more functioning kitchen. After personally viewing some renovation projects that had been completed by Elliam Contracting, I was convinced they were the right contractors for my project.

My project entailed, taking out load bearing walls at the rear of the house, and installing supporting beams, running all new plumbing, electrical and gas line into the new kitchen area. New kitchen cabinets, relocating interior basement entrance, new powder room, laundry room, all new flooring throughout, new interior doors, recessed lighting throughout, trim, paint and a face lift for the family room, brick wood burning fireplace. While I was at it, I decided to add the basement to the scope of work. It was about 55% complete and I wanted Mike and his team to get it to 100%. This required a new bathroom (old one was demolished), installation of flooring, new interior doors, trim, paint, finishing staircase to basement from the main floor, replacing small basement windows (3 of them) with egress windows (required cutting through brick), installation of an electric fireplace and a wet bar.

It was an extensive renovation for me, but nothing outside of what Mike and his team can handle. They have the knowledge and experience to do the job right, and that made all the difference. Mike aligns himself with experienced sub-trades (with different expertise) who shares the same passion as him. They went over and beyond to ensure that everything was perfect. The quality of workmanship, and attention to detail was never overlooked. Mike is a great communicator who keeps the homeowner abreast of every aspect of the project. When you call him, he answers the phone. When he notifies you that someone will be on site on a particular day to work, they are there. He has integrity, a big heart, and genuinely wants to make sure that you are happy with the end results.

I cannot say enough about the positive experience that I had working with Mike and all those associated with Elliam Contracting. It is for all these reasons, and so many more why I did not hesitate to give this company a perfect 10-star rating.

Everyone who has been to my house post renovation are in awe of the transformation, and so am I. My house now looks and feels like a home!

Mike and his team were great during every step of my kitchen Reno in 2021. Despite having many other projects on the go, Mike made sure of the timeline during the demo and prep for my new kitchen install. Communication was always great and even though the other vendors surprised me with forced delays, Mike was able to reschedule his crew to meet the changes. From the demo to the electrical, plumbing , tile work, drywall & painting everything was done great and I would definately call Mike for my next project.

Mike and his team exceeded our expectations for our renovations. We began with our main floor renovations (full kitchen reno, re-tiling our main floor, new baseboards, removed popcorn ceiling, installed pot lights, etc.) and its like we have a new house! We receive so many compliments on how the house looks now and couldnt be more thankful to Elliams professionalism, attention to detail, knowledge, and just general workmanship. Their quality of work is so good that we keep renovating our house! Recently, they quickly turned around our ugly laundry room into a beautiful and functional space. Now theyre renovating our upstairs bathroom. We will continue to work with Elliam because they have all our trust and we will always refer them with confidence in their ongoing, great work. This is the second time we have used mike at Elliam for a renovation. This renovation was a full gutt of the home and underpin. From start to finish mike and his team completed the year long project in a timely manner, we were always kept in the loop as far as scope and weekly activity. The final design and quality we are very pleased with, we would recommend mike and Elliam to anyone looking for a trust worthy company. We had a great experience. Project was 2022.
