I came across Talaska Inc through HomeStars and when I looked at the Google and HomeStars reviews, I was almost certain the reviews were fake, as I strongly believed there cant be a single bad review. However I decided to take a chance and call Ziggy for a quote. This led to one of our best home renovation experiences ever.
From showing up to provide us with a quote to completing the project, Ziggy was a one man show who was respectful, professional and just amazing.
He came home to provide us a quote and within 5 minutes he gave us a price that he stuck with till the end. He explained the process and took the time to answer any and all questions we had (and trust me there was quite a bit) and didnt push us to use his services but left the ball in our court. Appreciating this approach, we decided to book him to have our pool removed.
He came on time as mentioned, had a G licensed gas fitter come in to disconnect the gas and cap it, an electrician to assist with the electrical, and then just went to work. It was unbelievable to see how much this man can do in a day on his own, still while stopping to answer our questions and accept our additional requests at no additional cost. He even decided to use sand instead of soil to fill up the area as we were going to put concrete there the year after and he said the sand will pack tighter and be better for when we put concrete. This was also at his own expense, not charging us extra for it.
Within 2 and a half days, he had completed all his work, and where the machinery had to go over our and the neighbours lawn due to spacing, he ended up putting good quality topsoil and seeded it for the grass to grow back. The end result was a clean, yet really good demolition work that has set us up nicely for the concrete work the next year.
In all, I would highly suggest Ziggy for any demolition work as he is truly the best at it and a great person to work with.
