Whirlpool 30,000 Water Softener Installation: Got quote from quite a few people and everyone gave an estimate which was much higher than what Lin gave. Water Softener being a simple thing to install, I gave more priority to money than everything else. Requested Lin to do the installation for me and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. The installation had some minor hick ups, but Lin was able to handle it quite smoothly.

I always had this mindset that you get what you pay for. But in this case I was very wrong. The technicians who came at my home are quite well versed with their job and probably I will request Lin's help going forward on any plumbing related need for my home.

The installation workmanship was great. They install the product neatly and professional. However they show up late and bring the wrong model (so another half hour waiting for the correct product come).

I initially chose Lin and his team to install our water softener and reverse-osmosis system because his estimate was less half of the other quotes that I got from Homestars and also he seemed very experienced with this type of installation. His price was very reasonable based on the amount of materials and hours needed to perform this job. The other contractor that came for an estimate inflated his quote once he saw that we were in an affluent neighborhood. Lin's quote was more aligned with prices I have seen in forums like redflagdeals, with some extra cost due to the additional piping to bypass the softener for the outdoor faucet and steam oven.
Lin and his team arrived right on time, he was very meticulous and did the job exactly as discussed. The additional pipes he installed are all neat and tucked in the corners to make it easy to finish the basement later. He even configured the water softener valve, which is something the other contractor did not want to do. No hidden fees, or extra charges requested at the end. I am very happy with his work and would strongly recommend Water Doctor for anybody looking to install a water softener in the GTA.
