Worst contractor, people please dont trust him
He will get your money and run away. Once you give deposit he will never pickup your calls.
Not at all good service

Hired Shaq because he was also building a deck & fence for my neighbor. Promised to start work in 2 weeks but actually started 2 months later. Quality of the workmanship is poor. Boards are cut using a circular saw resulting in crooked cuts. The gate is not square and obviously on a slant. He has to rent most of the tools to do the job. Constantly asks for money even though a deposit was given and the job is not complete. Workers leave garbage and cigarette butts all over the property.

I found SKQ from Kijiji and like most people looking for a contractor online, I was skeptical of what I was getting myself into. I want to start off by saying, that before my basement renovation, I didn't know Shaq or his team.

I was very pleased I made the decision I did to go with them and how the project went overall. He never made me feel that the price was going to increase or that there were hidden costs not accounted for. Anytime he made a suggestion to better the project, we mutually agreed on the price and set expectations of what I was getting.
I must say that I had over 5 contractors come and quote me, some higher in price and some lower, but more than money, he was trustworthy.

Shaq is honest, and a man of his word. (I think those words have become oxymorons when talking about contractors, no offense to any of the trades)
Yes, we missed some of the deadlines, however, completing a renovation through a pandemic has its own challenges, as I'm sure you can imagine.
Our projects were on budget and successfully completed. We've added living space and now able to really enjoy our home.

If you're looking for a contractor that will overprice you and sell you on bling, it's best you look elsewhere. If you want an honest and fair contractor, I would highly recommend SKQ Renovations.

Very unreliable, he started with an estimate but then the price kept going up and up. He didn’t show up for several days, too busy with other jobs.
Thought he could get away with poor quality job.

Kitchen + upstairs flooring (hardwood and tiles), all walls of the house painted including cabinets, drawers, closets plus 3 washrooms full renovated with new stand up shower, tub, toilets, sinks etc.

Skq renovation Corp came and gave an estimate and the deadline. Everything was very clearly laid out but then reality became apparent. Totally unskilled labor was supplied in the absence of the general contractor and the quality of the work was absolutely abysmal. Early on the workmen said they were not getting paid

Promise after promise after promise after promise after promise broken. Because of the poor quality work we now have to pay someone else to undo their mistakes and redo the project and still we will miss the September deadline. The initial deadline wss in July! Unless they robbed you or burnt down your house I don't think you could do worse than skq renovations.
