First they told me the repair would cost $160 for both the exterior outlet and the light, but upon leaving they charged me an extra $100 without ever telling me there would be an additional cost.
The guy fixed my exterior light and outlet that wasn’t working. I asked them if I should buy a whole new junction box for the outside outlet, because it was cracked. They said no just put sealant around it. I was not trying to save money and didn’t understand why they wouldn’t just replace the whole box. I sealed it like crazy and kept the outlet covered all winter with a tarp.
Forward 5 months both light and outlet are broken again. When I contacted the owner he said they do not guarantee their work.
For the record the electrician that came out to do the job was a gentleman and did his best to work on my job. I was happy initially with the work, except for the surprise additional cost.
My review is solely based on the response by the owner since the problem recurred and he blamed it on me. I think it was an error for them not to have replaced the whole junction box, which I suggested.
If he was to take responsibility and be polite to me and just come out and fix the problem as I expect after only 5 months I would happily change my review.
