Tqc Developments

Our G.C. was wafting and dodging the replacement of some cement that the G.C. had removed at the start of our renovation. Because we wanted our home in good order for the drywall company to do their job while we were away on vacation, it was imperative that this small but timely job get done immediately. We started to panic and TQC Construction was recommended to us, and we are so grateful they were able to fit us into their busy schedule, which is about to wind down for the season. They will be asked to come back next year to another project for us. Great people to work with.

We had a really great experience with TQC. Todd was on point with his construction software which kept us updated with costs and timelines, Todd's attention to detail really made the whole process simple every step of the way. I am an architectural designer with 35 years of experience in residential construction in the Calgary area, and in that time I have worked with countless contractors and tradespeople on projects that vary from <$1000 to >$7.5M. Todd with TQC Developments is one of a very rare few that I've worked with that truly cares about all three aspects of a project: Time / Cost / Quality. When it came time for me to perform a minor renovation to my kitchen, which involved building new cabinets to match my 1940-era cabinets, and installing a new countertop throughout, there was no one else that I'd consider calling.

Being a renovation beginner the idea of doing a renovation was so intimidating. TQC Developments team walk us through every step. We felt confident, well informed and relaxed. Not only was th job done on time as predicted but, under budget as well. We are very happy with our new bathroom. It is so beautiful. Special thanks to Rob for going above and beyond(guy is gifted). We will be working with TQC for or kitchen reno because of the craftsmanship and professionalism. I cannot wait.

Todd, along with his team at TQC Developments recently built my husband and I the home of our dreams. We were so impressed by the professionalism of the company, and how we always felt in the loop with our project. The online software that Todd used allowed us to always see exactly what was going on each day, and most importantly allowed us to see that we were on budget. We felt during the entire process that Todd was extremely invested into our project, and the finished result. We did the reno about 7 years ago, initially everything was fine, but over the years things are falling apart. 2 of 3 pocket doors have failed, crown mouldings have begun detaching, grout in bathroom is deteriorating, paint job is unacceptable, (missed large areas, poor finishing, unprofessional). As well, his follow up after he Was paid was pathetic. He could not have cared less. Essentially, they can make it look good, but Todd's lack of knowledge in areas other than kitchen cabinets is a weakness in this company. He just does not know how to have good quality control. I would not recommend this company for any major renovations, the knowledge and quality control is just not good enough for anything more than a changing your kitchen cabinets.

I would not recommend Todd to anyone. He is poor at supervision of the trades, poor at work scheduling and poor at costing. We started out with him as a contractor, eventually changed to a "project management" contract after seeing the signs, and still we were left VERY DISSATISFIED.

Here are two examples. 1. He gave us a quote from a HVAC sub-contractor for a new furnace and duct work that was MORE THAN TWICE the amount we ended up paying to Direct Energy (which we arranged ourselves) for the same job. 2. The framer/roofer he works with (same guy - called Tom) refused to come back and fix deficiencies (wobbly stub wall, leaking roof insisted that we do as he said the work had been completed to his satisfaction.

I was very impressed with the job they did on my home renovation. They were quick to return of phone calls, addressed all of mine and my husbands concerns, worked within their time frame, flexible and had great rates. I would recommend them to anyone looking for quality work.
