Last summer, we really needed help with a variety of home improvements in our basement. The biggest project was a renovation of our basement bathroom and laundry room. We were interested in an all-inclusive renovation and other estimates did not meet that challenge.

White Spruce Carpentry did it all, from demolition, to installing: a new window, a beautiful full size tiled shower (where there had been tub), new flooring, a new fan to the outside, lighting, a new toilet and bathroom vanity. They even moved the heating vent! They use special product to ensure walls are fully protected from water damage and more expensive waterproof grouting to protect against mould and mildew. In the laundry room, they installed new flooring and pantry shelving. They suggested and followed through with hanging a barn door instead of a standard door to free up room and helped with some electrical issues so that we could move the freezer in. They stacked the washer and dryer for us. They also offered to and fixed drywall damage in the family room and painted all walls in the bathroom, laundry room and family room.

It is all the little “big” things he did that really made a difference for us. White Spruce Carpentry willingly took on other projects as well. They installed beautiful new basement windows and a lovely stone wall and electric fireplace in our living-room.

White spruce took out everything from the tiles to the counters and cabinets and replaced it, it looks so much better! I am so appreciative of their attention to detail and for making sure my house was as clean and orderly as is possible through a renovation. The guys at white spruce are thoughtful as they helped me design custom prices like a permanent wine rack and live wood shelf, and they were so communicative about how my choices effected price and timeline of the project. Tyler and his team were a dream to work with. They renovated or master bathroom and worked with me every step of the way to make sure it was exactly what I wanted. I will definitely be using them again for future projects.

We were looking to update our kitchen without a major overhaul by using existing cabinets and some new build cabinets/island. Tyler’s attention to detail allowed us to get exactly what we wanted and then some. His thoroughness, knowledge and guidance was greatly appreciated as we were not well versed in code requirements or vendors and he made sure to check all the details for us. He went above and beyond by Checking the quality of the painters and counter top installers to the extent of even correcting errors in the existing cabinetry installation by re-leveling them for us. His work ethic, communication and customer service is fantastic! We lived in our home through the Reno and he made sure that it was as unobtrusive as possible. It was a great experience and we are already considering other projects for the future! I would highly recommend white spruce carpentry to anyone considering Renos.
