Monarchy did a great job removing our old roof and installing a new metal roof. Wally provided an accurate estimate of time and cost and answered all our questions about materials and the installation process. The team led by Vlad was very dedicated, professional, and meticulous in their work. They worked 10+ hour days in hot, smoggy weather. The entire project was completed in 8 days and we are very pleased with the results.

Originally, I was looking into getting a mid-range shingle roof (architectural) due to the high winds and the relentless weather that my house endures on a regular basis. I was tired of having to replace shingles after every large storm. Paying slightly more so the roof/my home is taken care of (future proofing) for 50 years for a metal roof vs 3x15 years (for the regular roof replacement) is a no-brainer. And with Kevin being a P. Eng., I knew that his education and experience level would mean my roof would be done at a professional standard.

Now with every project, there are always potential hiccups. I just happened to have my new window installation booked just after the metal roof was to be completed. Once Kevin learned of this, he had the foresight to know that there was a potential for the window installer to damage the roof when they removed and installed the windows. I appreciate Kevin's recommendation and willingness to pause the roof installation (over a month) to allow for the windows to be installed and my new roof from being potentially damaged. Once the window installation was completed, he completed the roof within a couple of days without fuss. The way I see it, it's better to avoid a potential problem rather than leave it up to chance and then deal with it later.

Positioned in a wind tunnel, our home kept losing sections of shingles during significant wind events over several years and was due for full shingle replacement soon. We opted for increased peace of mind and durability associated with a metal roof.

Recognizing metal roof preparation and installation is more complex than asphalt shingles, research led us to Monarchy Roofing.

Our experience with Monarchy Roofing was excellent right from the beginning with patient, informative responses to questions we posed in addition to the extensive information available on their website. Contract negotiations were fair, conducted with integrity, and proceeded reasonably.

Installation began within the stated time frame. We can't speak highly enough about the installation team. The team was pleasant to talk to and patient with questions we or passing neighbours asked occasionally during a break or end of day. They took care in all activities from product handling, to installation, to end of day clean-up. Their respect and attention to detail were reflected in every step to ensure quality and a long lasting protective roof system.

During the project, at the end of every day the installation team assured us our home was left in a protected state in case it happened to rain overnight or the next day. On rain days, we received early morning communication from head office indicating no one would be on site that day ... safety was a priority. No work on rain days may be obvious, however we appreciated the personal touch.

The beauty of metal roofing installation is that we didnt have to remove the existing shingles if the roof has only one layer. The wood strapping is installed on top of existing roof, anchoring to roof studs for solid gripping for the metal roofing to be screwed on. The wood strapping is also leveled against the wavy roof base so that installed metal roof sits flat to strapping.

Installer Dan did an amazing job for the completion of this project. He had to work around the existing leaf guards and few rainy days. He even cleaned all the gutters and debris upon completion of the job so that the home owner didnt have to do a single thing!

The house looks amazing now with all new flashing, skylight and black metal roofing. This investment is well worth it for the future and no more worries on shingles blowing off.
