We hired Cardinal to build a small backyard patio for us. David was able to fit us in at relatively short notice. The crew was friendly, on time, clean and professional. We will be considering Cardinal on future projects.

The crew was very reliable - on time, tidy, quiet, friendly. Finished project was completed on time and was stunning. Neighbours/strangers walking by were very complimentary. A year later, due to frozen ground shifting, David was happy to return to the site to reset some rocks. A hardworking, respectful team.

David and his crew were pleasant to deal with and did a good job. They have done a number of things for us, including construction of a raised composite deck with stairs, a lower interlock patio and garden beds, tree planting, armour stone front garden, stone slab steps, and pavers on the front walkway and driveway edges. They resolved any concerns we raised and invoices were consistent with pre-job estimates.

I was extremely impressed with the work Cardinal performed when landscaping my home. There were many drainage slopes, changing elevations and combinations of armour stone and interlock retaining walls which were executed flawlessly. It was a competitive price and hassle free experience, with no questions needed about warranty. Even though we were meticulous about a few details, the team at Cardinal accommodated and made sure the work was complete beyond our satisfaction.

I've worked with Cardinal for many years. He's done small interlock driveways to 100' armor stone retaining walls for me. He's done fences, flagstone, interlock, land leveling, stone work, resodding, planting trees, I have him and his team do everything. Honest, good contractors are extremely hard to find. Cardinal starts on time and finishes the job on time. Quotes are reasonable and the work is second to none. As long as Dave is available, I will use Cardinal for all my landscaping needs. You can't imagine how valuable a good contractor is until you've suffered through several bad ones. Any money saved on cheaper quotes is made up in lost time and frustration.

In 2019 our old wooden retaining wall and walkway was in dire need of replacement and it was high time to restore our front garden, which had, by mid-summer in the last few years, begun to look quite unkempt. We had admired the landscapes at several residences here in our own neighborhood and upon asking, were enthusiastically provided with contact information for Cardinal Landscape Construction and Woodworks. As we were new to having this kind of work done, when we met with David it was a big relief that he was able to create order out of our list of needs and wants, guide and assist us regarding the selection of materials, and, liaise with the town on our behalf to ensure all necessary paperwork was in order. David is prompt in returning text messages and emails and has no problem with accommodating the customers must haves. Work was scheduled to commence on November 1st ... just as Mother Nature commenced the fiercest November weather we can remember but, undaunted, David and his crew came out and worked hard. They moved the earth, placed the armor stone skillfully and artistically, made our front walkway a pleasure to traverse (and to shovel), and created a beautiful fresh canvas. A beautiful addition to our home that was well worth the investment!

I found these guys really professional and easy to communicate with. Showed up on time, used the right materials, end product looks great. Would use them again for landscaping and fencing for sure.

The project included the dismantling of the old deck and fence and re-using the existing footprint to build new to agreed upon specifications.
Very pleased with the finished product.
