He sold us on doing baseboards, trim and windows casings- tries to weasel a ton of money up front and after hiring for job we have $3000 to commit and decide on start date. He went MIA for almost a week and then called back with made up story- we tried to book start date and shortly after phone was disconnected. Police report filed with Peel - see article on him from arrest in 2016- he advertises on Kijiji and will prolly start new number and new business name soon As this is his trend

This guy dennis j contacted me on letgo app to buy 3 watches from me and he said he will pay through e transfer he e transfered he was very friendly , and he came in nissan murano with his meticolous flooring sticker on it . He showed on his cellphone that he transfered the money , i let him go after that he blocked me on letgo app , blocked my number i never received my money(ACTUALLY GOT ROBBED) . So you decide if you want to call this guy at your home and do the flooring ? Becareful thanks

My story is pretty long.
I hired Dennis to install 6 doors, baseboad trims and painting. I thought it was very simple job so I hired him because he said he could finish it in 3 days(before June 8,2108) Guess what? Supposed to start on June 5 but didn’t show up and I contacted him, he said he would start on Thursday morning 8:30am(June 7), and guess what again? Didn’t show up in the morning, came our house, only working for 4hours, installing one door with casing. And after I gave him 50% of total cost, he didn’t show up next day and very next day he didn’t even show up and didn’t contact me. So I hired him and asked him to money back and he was threatening me that he was going to charge on me if I didn’t give his tools back.
After he took his tools, he did not give my money back. He did made damages on my walls and floor, took my money and gone.
I will press charge on him and claim to small court for sure.

Called them up first thing and was able to get same day service. Dennis came out on time, was very knowledgeable and proficient in the repair. Spring was broken. We had both springs replaced, and with all the adjustments and lubricating, the door has never been quieter.  They were very upfront with the estimates and costs. We did not have to do both springs, but the house is 18 years old so it would be just a matter of time.  I highly recommend Dennis

Luke, the Project Manager who came to our house to do the measuring, made suggestions about style and finish that were very helpful. We want to acknowledge the fabricators and painters whose skill with metal is apparent in the quality and finish of their work. Dennis and luke, who installed the rails, took their time making sure to get them straight and dealing efficiently with our old plaster wall. The rails are beautiful.

We spent a lot of time with Dennis and his carpenters to decide on the spiral stair case that is now installed in our home. They are the only company that is dealing with Spiral Staircases and incorporate guess and iron, The team of people that came to install the staircase was impressive We were almost like family by the time that it was all done. It took about a month to install. The only problem was there were delays WITH material orders

I highly recommend Dennis to anyone whom is looking for quality and a competitive price. Not only did he do a fabulous job at a great price, but he is also just the nicest guy to work with- you can tell he truly enjoys what he does and really cares about what he is creating. I must have been through nearly every stair/ railing contractor in this area by the time I found Dennis. I had a certain look that I was going for, with three stories of stairs that needed done, and a budget- not a exactly an easy feat. I was having the hardest time finding someone. I got some ridiculous quotes, some that never returned my calls, and some that told me the job was too big for their schedule in the near future. In the end, I had narrowed it down to Dennis and one other place, but after a few weeks of going back and forth with this other guy, it was clear that he was not interested in what I really wanted and kept pushing a plain basic rail system with straight/ knuckle balusters ( too meh for me). Just out of curiousity when I asked Dennis to quote that same post to post rail system using the same model numbers, it was about 40% less. I was so happy to have found Dennis as he seemed to have this great understanding of what I was looking for. He made some calls to a manufacturer to find me a pricepoint version of an overpriced boxpost I had been looking at with another contractor, all the while being super patient and giving me helpful imput when I was weighing my balluster choices. I always received price quotes within 24 hours and he would bring the sample balusters by my house so that I could see them next to my newly finished floor. I really felt like Tom was helping me make choices based on what would look best, not what is easiest/ cheapest and I could actually trust his opinion. When it came time to install, I was a little disappointed my job got delayed a little, but I totally understand how those kind of things can happen and the wait was totally worth it. I ended up with a railing that I absolutely LOVE for within my budget and I was able to work from home during the whole installation?! Crazy how somethings just work out:) Dennis gave me a recommendation for staining my finished rail darker and it turned out great too. Thank you Dennis for everything! You have me as a railing customer for life
