Derek from Squirrel Construction did a great job coordinating a fence construction among 17 homeowners in a new build. He subdivided the billing between the homeowners so that no homeowner had to coordinate anything. He cleaned up his job site well and did great quality work.

My wife and I LOVE our fence. Very competitive price and excellent quality/design. The fence was completed in the time frame provided. I have highly recommended Squirrel Construction to family and friends!

Squirrel construction repaired my fence as requested. Derek managed to fit my job in at the end of the season and I’m very pleased with the work he did. He communicated very well as to what he would/wouldn’t be able to do. Very professional.

Very happy with my fence! Derek came prepared, had miniature sample fences for me to choose from and was the only contractor out of approximately 8 others I interviewed that was able to come up with a genius solution to an awkwardly laid out concrete pad. He even thought to build a tucked away space to hide the garbage and recycling bins. The job was competitively priced, done in the amount of time quoted. He also hauled away a rotten old fence and kept the yard clean. After 5 years the fence is still in great shape. He was pleasant to work with and I will call him again for future jobs.

5 stars, We contacted Squirrel Construction late in the season (i.e. end of September) hoping to perhaps establish a date for next year to replace our dilapidated fence. Derrick advised that he may be able schedule our project for this season. He arranged for the lumber to be ordered and shipped, the old fence and posts to be removed, and managed to complete the project this year, finishing just before the weather turned much colder. Excellent quality workmanship and very accommodating with great personal skills. Would highly recommend him to anyone considering any similar project.

Derek and his team did a phenomenal job building our fence. We’re very happy with it and I would recommend this company to my closest family and friends. We will use their services again in the future when we build our deck.

Derek gave me estimates to do the fences for my yard and three other neighbours (no back lane, so our fences border each other). He answered all of our questions from 4 households and proceeded to get the permits and do the work. Derek was so easy to work with! He is professional, easy-going, hard-working, talented, time efficient and cost efficient. When I asked him to build me a new gate the next year, he did so immediately and with the same care. Our fences are beautiful and well built. Derek is fantastic to work with and I would very highly recommend him to anyone!

Derek was very responsive and accountable, and he very kindly accommodated our schedule and needs. His obviously takes pride in his work and was thoughtful in problem solving our irregular back yard. We are 100% satisfied!
