We hired Tim and Focus Construction to do the impossible. Fully restore and completely re-invent a historic home in Oakville. From effectively dealing with the Heritage Society to creating our custom features Tim had every angle covered.

We were delighted with the whole project and especially with how our features like the waterfall pool, sprung floor gym, custom wine cellar, specialty safe and 3 story elevator. Tim was really knowledgeable and anticipated potential issues before they became problems.

He was extremely well organized and managed to coordinate every trade seamlessly. We were grateful for his easy going and friendly manner. He was always reachable and we felt thoroughly informed the whole way throughout. Thank you Focus Construction!

When I purchased my first income property I was totally overwhelmed when it came time to renovate. I'd seen the shows but real life was pretty different. Thank god for Focus Construction. They helped me create a floor plan and renovation concept that maximized rental income, kept to my budget and satisfied code - and my insurance company :)

My husband and I recently had our bathroom renovated, and the team at Focus Construction exceeded all expectations. Tim’s degree of professionalism was top-notch, exemplified by his willingness to accommodate our time-frame and comfort level during the week-long renovation. His attention to detail and overall quality control were unparalleled in terms of our experience with other contractors renovating our previous home. It was refreshing to hire a contracting company which A. listened to what we wanted, and B. created our dream space according to the plans agreed upon with a few minor revisions.

Where to start, fancy website, good reviews, fair quote from the owner, should be good right? Here come the red flags. Payment up front for 50%, cheque payable to a numbered company. Workers showing up late (after 11 am each day rather than 9 am as promised) or not at all one day meaning the 3 day job became 6 while living in a construction site the whole time. The last day the owner asked for final payment as they were "finishing up". I paid in good faith (my mistake as I had to be at work and couldn’t be home). Turns out they didn’t finish but they took the cheque and cashed it anyway. Job not done. Followed up with a concern after I started painting (drywall tape pulling through due to not enough mud used on the job), the owner denies it and first blames the paint product I used, then lack of preparation, then that the drywall must have been wet, then that there must have been dust. Either way, my fault not his. Offers to redo the work at my expense. A photo is worth a thousand words right? Enjoy these photos of the type of work $4k gets you. The baseboard work look like something out of high school shop class. Avoid at all costs. EDIT: so after the owner tried to have this review removed claiming that I wasn't an actual customer, he then proceeds to make disparaging and false comments to put himself in a better light For example, that I asked for the baseboards to be done like that Just wanted to add he made no attempt to fix the situation other than offer a $110 refund to "have someone else finish the job". What a complete joke of a company

Focus Construction did a complete renovation of my 2 bedroom condo (approx. 1000 sq ft.), excluding the bathrooms. From the time I first met Tim, he impressed me with his knowledge, experience and attention to detail. Not only did he provide me with a very fair estimate, he also went above and beyond what the other contractors did for their estimates (he was pointing out details and areas of concern but also provided multiple solutions as to the quality of finishes and price ranges. Once I decided to go with Focus Construction for my renovations, I knew I had the right team for the job.

Tim kept me in-the-loop of the team’s progress throughout the entire project. He also explained areas where additional work was required prior to carrying it out so I was aware of any additional costs. On top of that, Tim also managed to find ways where we were able to save some money and not compromise on quality. At the end of the day, Focus Construction came through on budget and completed everything in a timely fashion.

Tim and his team (including Mike who did a ton of excellent work throughout the project) also followed up and carried out additional work on every single item my wife and I asked of throughout the project, which was absolutely fantastic and made the entire renovation experience extremely smooth and non-stressful.

In the end, Focus Construction far exceeded all of our expectations and I would highly recommend them to anyone considering doing renovations, construction, etc. to their homes in the future. Thanks Tim, Mike and the entire team that made our renovations a huge success, we couldn’t be happier with it!

Back in October 2017, my wife and I were a little nervous to do a renovation but Tim and his crew made us feel completely at ease throughout the whole process. We completely gutted and refinished our bathroom and couldn't be happier with the result. Tim gave us a realistic quote and stayed on budget. He and his crew even worked after hours and on the weekend to finish the job ahead of schedule. I'd highly recommend his services and will be using Focus Construction again when we do our basement.

Tim and his team were absolutely amazing from start to finish. From our first planning meeting with Tim, to our bathroom renovation being revealed to us last September (2017) - I couldn't have asked for a more detail-oriented, honest and friendly group of contractors to hire. The quality of the work is impeccable, and the attention to detail is much appreciated - we've had so many compliments from friends and family. We have done renovations previously with other contractors and found we had overpaid for services rendered - Tim is not only fair, but he is very upfront and honest with all costs associated with the work he is doing. We had a leak from our upstairs shower into our kitchen. The team quick diagnosed the problem and suggested alternatives to remedy, with varying degrees of cost and complexity so we could make informed choices. Appreciated the team's transparency and customer focus. Would recommend
