Just moved into a townhouse in January. As space is limited in townhouses, we need to make the most out of the space we have. The basement isn't large, but previous owners had reduced it to nothing more than a laundry and storage space with obvious signs of DIY hackery all over. We received estimates from several contractors to improve the space, but we decided to work with Arclight as they were the only ones to point out the safety issues that existed as a result of previous mistakes. The guys at Arclight were amazing to work with. They were open and honest about all of the work they were doing, ensured that the pathway between the front door and the basement remained clean and protected throughout the project, and made recommendations and improvements to problems that weren't immediately obvious to us at the beginning. They made us feel comfortable throughout the entire process. Now we have a beautiful and bright basement that functions as a home office by day, and an area where the kids can play when I'm not working. Piping and venting that was left exposed by previous owners were elegantly covered up, and the laundry and storage areas are now completely enclosed and unnoticeable when they aren't being used. A once wasted space is now a very productive space. We're so pleased that we've already started another project with Arclight on the main floor of the house.
