I had booked for an 8 am unloading. No one was here by 8:10 so I called. "We'll look into it, will get back with you." Called back at 8:20 and spoke with the person who said he was the owner, Josh. He proceeded to gaslight me and try to make me feel badly that because they were having problems with the crew starting their moving truck, they were now going to have to drive from another town to do the job because they were having problems with the local crew. Mind you, they could have had the two people just drive to my home in their own vehicle, pay them for the mileage. I explained to him that I had to have the U-Haul back to the location at 10:00 am, he basically told me that wasn't his problem.
After being disrespected and blasted, I was then told they would be there at 10:00. At 10:20, I called back AGAIN. Then they gave me the local manager's number and told me to call him because they didn't know what was going on. I called that number and finally spoke with the manager who was at least understanding of my frustration. He told me that they were dispatching someone from another town - even though I had been told two hours ago that they had already done that and that the crew would be there within the two hours. He told me that they'd be there shortly.
Another 40 minutes go by and I call for the fifth time to find out where they are. I speak with the local manager again and he is surprised that I haven't heard. He calls the driver who finally calls me and explains they're on their way.
They arrived at 11:30, for an 8 am start. The crew? A very pleasant young man who had been on the job for TWO DAYS and another person who had some moving experience but also had been on staff for TWO DAYS.
No one very reached out to tell me that they were late, I was the one who made all of the calls. They were 3.5 hours late. I had to take back the U-Haul 2.5 hours late and paid the penalty for that. And managed to get gaslit by the owner who seemed to think it was okay to blame his issues on me and not take responsibility for them.
I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone.
