Project

We are planning on selling our house and needed a few minor repairs. We found this family run business through the BBB and Coquitlam Chamber of Commerce. We gave him the requested deposit and expected him to begin our small project early the following week. He did not arrive, no phone call or message to inform us. My husband contacted him and he said the job in Richmond was going to take a bit longer but he would be available the following Monday to begin. Same scenario-a no show. This time, when contacted he explained there had been a family emergency and he would come Wednesday. Again, he did not arrive and did not provide us with any communication. This occurred 2 more times. My husband and I talked about trying to put a hold on our deposit but of course it was 2 weeks since the promised start date for the project and the cheque was cashed already. I felt we had been understanding and patient but we needed to have these repairs done in a timely manner so we could list our house. My husband texted the owner once more and was assured he would be at our house the following morning to begin. When he did not show, we asked for him to please return our deposit. He agreed to drop the refund off the next day. We have not heard anything and he no longer answers his business phone. I am not able to mention him by name, or else I would but I sure hope he wasn’t able to do this to others.

i am truly sorry you had a bad experience with our company. As for the deposit return, a cheque was issued and mailed to your address for the deposit amount along with a gift card as an apology for the delays. We understand your frustration with us for all of the delays. we should have had better communication with you. i can list a dozen things that went south through this few weeks but you don't need excuses only results. i assume by the comments that you have not received our cheque and gift card. if this is the case i will cancel the issued cheque and be happy to drop the funds off. i assumed by lack of emails this issue was closed but i guess not. that being said I'm using a loaner phone as mine was smashed on April 15th so i am playing catch up. i will email you today to find out how you'd like to proceed. you can see by our reviews we do good honest work and have never had a situation like this happen before. We will make every effort to correct this issue.
