All of the trades people are friendly and professional. They treated our home with respect while they were working.

They have some options available to pick as a part of the package (trim, doors, vanities, toilet, tiles, etc). If you are looking for a particular style for some items like we were, their selection may not include them so you will have to shop for those items on your own. Capable will credit the cost back to you.

When the handy-man comes for the final "touch-ups", you must be very specific and point out everything that needs to be done. It would have been nice if that person was a bit more thorough.

Special shout out to our project manager, Michael, who was very easy to communicate with and helped us overcome any small issues that came up during the renovation.

We were impressed with the quote, material selection process. There were a couple hiccups with scheduling and performance of a specific sub. The PM agreed and worked overtime to address our concerns.

I am very impressed with the work from Capable Group. I initially hired another company that was supposedly better. Things turner south very quickly with them. Eventually, I was left with a poorly done basement that was not completed.
I asked Yan from Capable to help and to see if his team could help. The project manager Michael was awesome to work with.
I was impressed with their professionalism and work ethic. Everything was done right in a timely fashion.

This review is after waiting one year of construction. Capable group did an excellent job and I am completely satisfied with their workmanship. The sound proofing is excellent and you can’t hear not even a slight sound from the room next door. Even when TV is on on main level basement is very quiet and sound from main floor is completely sealed off. So far I have not had any problems. LUDMILA, the designer is one of the greatest assets that CapAble group has. She provides excellent customer service and she is very patient too during the design process and thereafter if changes need to be done. It was such a joy working with her on this project. I would unreservedly recommend CapAble group to anyone.

We received quotes and ideas from many contractors before making a decision. From the introduction through the initial consultation and the end product we were extremely happy with the level of service we received from the entire organization. This is a down to earth group of people who know well what they are doing and at no point did we feel we were being sold anything we didn't want. Yan spent plenty of time with us to talk through options and provide us with a very detailed quote and what was in/out. Ludmila, our designer was fantastic and presented us with plenty of options and honest opinions to help get the look we wanted (I don't think we even contemplated upgrading anything out of standard options as there are so many high quality options to choose from). The end product came out exactly as we had hoped for (even better than we would have imagined). The process itself was very simple and the entire team was available when we had questions or wanted minor things fixed/changed. The work on our basement started just before the holidays in December and the team paused as we had family in town and restarted as agreed. We could not get over the speed and quality of the work and enjoyed taking pictures day to day of the progress. It is a bit odd to have strangers in your home each day who have access but without exception every part of the team took the time to introduce themselves and were extremely respectful and friendly with the whole family. We have 2 young children who were equally excited to see what was going on each day and they were treated with as much respect as we were. I think it is pretty inevitable that minor things can go wrong (our walls had very minor dings in them and a few scratches from drywall being moved downstairs, etc.) but everything was fixed up exactly as it was without any complaint or issue. Genuine thank you to Yan, Ludmila, Michael and the rest of the team. We're loving our new space and we would highly recommend Capable Group!

I've done many renos over the past few years with many different companies and many different trades and let's be honest, there are always issues, delays and disappointments. I am happy to say that for the first time in my life, I found a company who actually comes through with their promises and delivers an exceptional final product. After meeting with multiple contractors and still being unsure on what to do and who to do it with, my wife and I were lost. That is until Yan came over, he quoted us on the spot and gave us different ideas and plans. His detailed quote was simple to understand and very thorough. Without hesitation, we decided to give the job to Yan and his team. The following week, we met with the the designer, Ludmila and she began doing the drawings. The drawings were full of details, including things like where the bulkheads would be and where all the plumbing stacks were located. After a couple minor revisions, we finalized the plan and we were ready to start our renovation. We were given a start date, along with a 2 week schedule for what was happening every day for the next 2 weeks. I was pretty hesitant when I first got the schedule, I didn't think they would be able to even get the work done in those 2 weeks as it was a lot of work put into a relatively small time frame. Not to mention the fact that there are always delays with construction/renovations. Well, every day of those 2 weeks went exactly as scheduled. The framer actually finished a day earlier than planned and the other trades, plumber & electrician were on site at 7:30am on the days they were scheduled. For lack of a better word, I was shocked to see how this was going. This was almost too good to be true!

The positive experience didn't end there, as the project went along we were in constant communication with the designer and the project manager to make sure everything was being done properly and according to our plan. We went with some high end finishes in order to match the rest of our home and all the trades knew we were very specific and very detail oriented and they made sure to not dissapoint us. The final product is exceptional, the attention to detail and making sure everything was perfect and to our satisfaction really shows in the final product. We couldn't be happier with how this turned out and I cannot stress enough how rare it is to find a contractor who actually delivers what they promised. I have recommended Yan and his team to many friends and family members already. I truly believe that we need more honest and structured Renovation companies like Capable Group. We recently hired Capable Group to completely finish our basement of our 32 year old house from scratch. Our basement is now spectacular and functional and we couldn’t love it more. The Capable Team are truly the best. After interviewing and receiving quotes from about 6 other companies (many of which I had to chase), Amar from the sales team gave us an on-the-spot, guaranteed quote - which included a set timeline (not to mention beating the other prices). I have to admit, I was skeptical they could do it in the time quoted - and had others cast doubt - but the team followed through - on time, on budget - even a day early. There were no surprises - no nonsense - no hidden costs. The entire team of skilled trades, the project manager (Mike), the designer (Ludmila) and the owner (Yan) are professional, knowledgeable and very responsive. The quality of the work surpassed our expectations and regular site visits were had to ensure we were satisfied at all stages of the build. Having a designer and project manager included was a major differentiator, and made the process much easier on us. Our house was built in 1926, and had a number of challenges to overcome with narrow stair cases, low ceilings and uneven floors. The team worked to overcome all of the hurdles and even managed to get a 67"/200 lb tub down the stairs for us (when others told us it was impossible).
