Honest Roofing And Siding

Contracted Shaun and Honest to do our roof, job was completed without issue and on budget. During quoting we specifically asked about reworking the skylights and this was a line item in the quote. 6months after the job we experienced a major snow and rain storm and one of the skylights leaked. Shaun dispatched a tech to repair the seal around the skylights but not before our living room hardwood floor, couch and ceilings were flooded. They paid for steam cleaning the couch and then due to an incident with Shaun we were unable to make any progress on repairs to the floors and ceiling. With much delay I was able to get Shaun to send a crew of his handymen to come out and repair our ceiling, however he balked at replacing our floor. He was unwilling at that point to make proper restitution and we were at an impass as he said he didnt have the money. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Shaun's firm came to us as a subcontractor to rescue us when the original contractor was unable to complete the job. He and his crew did a great job under awkward circumstances and saved us. We get compliments on our new roof from passersby.

I hired Shaun for a siding redo. He assured me he could fix the issues and redo the house in Hardie board. Once he started he decided the roof needed a redo as well. We agreed and the nightmare began. We had skylights and yet the old roof did not leak. The new roof had water pouring into our newly renovated basement. The skylights are close together which he blamed all the leaking on. We said just remove the skylights, he stalled and stalled. We called again and again. We sent videos of the water pouring in. There was ZERO urgency to help. In the middle of the night we were up on ladders using every tarp we had to try and stop the flooding. Then it took months and months to get anyone to work on the siding. He doesn’t actually have any staff, he hires crews. They didn't clean up any trash. Not a singe piece. Even their waste from lunch was tossed on the ground. Sharp bits of metal were left. I picked up every single piece of trash from the worksite. They removed all the old siding and then for two months he could not get any workers to wrap the house. So again water poured in. The whole thing started in March 2020 and the job is still not complete. He insists on the final payment. The work is sloppy. I asked what he would think of gaps and jagged cuts on his own house, he said he wouldn’t mind. I asked, what if you paid $24000? He said it would be okay. This was the worst experience. he doesn’t actually know anything about siding, doesn’t know anything about managing people, doesn’t know how to help people. He always put the blame on others. It was never his fault that anything happened. If you would like to see screen shots of all the texts back and forth proving what a nightmare this was please contact me. I have hundreds of photos of the sloppy work, mess left everywhere, damage to the house and anything else you would like to see if you are considering using this company.

I requested a quote to replace my roof and they had it to me within a couple of days. I was happy with the price as they were very comparable. They had a crew come and replace my roof in a day. The crew were very professional and clean. I would definitely recommend this company.

Shaun was extremely helpful in answering all my questions and he kept me up to date on the scheduling (delivery of shingles, work start and finish). Work was completed on time over the weekend and the area around my house was spotless. Very happy with the job!
