Charged me without resolving the problem or following guidelines

Short Version: Adrian from De Marco charged me 400 dollars and left without turning my gas on or fixing the issue at all.

Long Version: I received 3 red tags from Enbridge for some minor issues and they also ordered a pressure test to be done by a licensed technician. I went with Adrian from De Marco after reading the reviews on here. When I called him, I specifically asked for a pressure test as required by Enbridge - he said it was 400 for a pressure test. I agreed. When he arrived, he performed two manometer tests (not pressure tests) and concluded that there is no leak. He then packed up his things and left saying that he would come back in two days to fix the rest of the issues - I said OK thinking I was in good hands here. Boy was I wrong.

Later that night, I found out that my property still had no gas when I ran out of hot water. I immediately called Adrian and told him he didn't turn the gas back on. He said - oh, no worries, just go and turn it on yourself. I could not believe my ears. I called Enbridge and asked if they are OK with me turning on the gas myself and they asked " was it De Marco that did your work?" - apparently he had asked other customers to turn the gas on themselves which is illegal. I called him and I asked him to come back to turn it on - he refused and became very unprofessional and agitated that I spoke with Enbridge and said he can't come and booked someone else that week so he won't be able to come back until the following week. Noticing that I was getting nowhere with Adrian, I decided to call another gas company to come help me out because I had no gas/heating to the property. Later, I asked De Marco for a refund because he didn't do anything to fix my problem - he adamantly refused and said I'm not getting a single dollar back even though he didn't fix anything.

Lessons learned:
- Don't hire De Marco for fixing gas issues
- Don't let the tech leave until he follows all instructions on the red tag AND turns your gas back on.
- Make sure they do what they said they would do. (he did a manometer test instead of a pressure test)
- Make sure they fix ALL red tags before they leave. Otherwise, you may have to start from scratch with another company.
