Unresponsive and Unprofessional

Concrete Fusion Inc. (operating as Garage Perfect) may do good work. Unfortunately, we will never know because we terminated our contract roughly three months after signing it due to zero communication from them (not one pro-active communication), zero response to our multiple emails, four broken promises, zero acknowledgment or apology for those broken promises, and a frequent inability to even leave them a voice message (their voice message box was often full).

In fact, the only call we ever received from them was to immediately collect their 40% deposit – that they had time to do – but from that point on we were totally ignored.

We ultimately concluded that if they were this unresponsive and this cavalier about breaking promises before any work had even been done, what hope would we have of getting service from them if a problem arose with their work. It was a risk we were not willing to take and so terminated the contract.

Further, even after advising them that we were terminating our contract we heard nothing from them – no communication whatsoever to find out why we were so disappointed with their service – nothing.

On 30 June 2021 we notified them via their website that we were terminating the contract effective immediately and wanted our 40% deposit back by 5pm on 21 July 2021. We followed this with a registered letter on 02 July 2021. According to Canada Post tracking, as of 25 July 2021 our letter had still not been picked up, and this despite us advising them via email on 13 July 2021 of our letter.

We reached them by phone on 13 July 2021 and again reiterated that we wanted our deposit back, this time indicating “as soon as possible”. No refund was forthcoming over the following week.

Around 7:45am on the deadline day of 21 July 2021 we managed to leave a voice message, again asking that our deposit be returned to us by 5pm that evening via eTransfer. One hour after that 5pm deadline, 5:59pm to be specific, we finally received an email from them to effect an eTransfer refunding us in full.

All of this could have been avoided if we had simply been dealt with respectfully and with integrity. Unfortunately, we experienced neither.
