Restorative Landscapes

My garden is an example of a beginners garden, with no plan to speak of. The garden has over-grown through the years. Jake and team have helped me to keep it under control and provided good advice for improvements. They're especially cheerful and supportive of my wild garden which has evolved into a nature reserve in the Upper Beach.

My back yard in downtown Toronto was just a pad of concrete. We had the concrete removed and Jake & co planted us a food forest with more than 40 species of edible plants. It is amazing! They rerouted the downspouts from the roof, so rainwater is now feeding a rain garden area. They designed the space using permaculture principles, and we're already enjoying fruits, berries, greens, & herbs, while waiting for roots, nuts, and all the rest to develop over time. I couldn't recommend this team more enthusiastically. I can't wait to get them redesigning my front yard (and a greenhouse on my roof?).

Our yard was a mud pit -- we have a dog and kids and we couldn't grow grass. Restorative Landscapes came up with a competitive price and worked with our aesthetic and needs to make a beautiful, functional back yard for our family. Staff were friendly, prompt and courteous. They accommodated our kids' curiosity and even chased our dog down when she escaped. Work was on time and on budget. Highly recommend this talented crew.

So lucky to have found Jake and his reliable crew from Restorative Landscapes. The flagstone path in our front yard had to be dug up over the winter to enable a plumbing crew to access a main pipe. Jake painstakingly re-layed all of the stones with great care, cutting some to fit better and leveling the walkway so that it ended up much better than it was before.

They also removed old plants from our yard and planted lovely new ones in their place. Also laid mulch and did a great cleanup. We have received many compliments on the yard, and have recommended this crew to others. Jake is very knowledgeable about plants, and was flexible to work with. Also reliable, efficient, prompt and really pleasant to deal with!

Our BIA was searching for a company to design a garden plan for our planter bed artscape between Bathurst and Gladstone. We are thrilled to have found Restorative Landscapes and the Pollinator Paradise project. Their energy, passion and imagination melds perfectly with the creative hub that is West Queen West. We are proud to be the first bee-friendly Streetscape and feel as though others should follow suit. We hope to see Pollinator Paradises grow all over the West Queen West community.

Kudos to Jake Harding and his team for designing and installing a Living Wall in BeachMac, my independent Apple computer store in Toronto's Beaches district. Jake designed the installation and brought it in on time and on budget. Today the Living Wall is a marvel to our customers as well as a great improvement to the air quality in the store. In winter we breath fewer particulates and in summer we spend less on air conditioning.
