Waiting for refund from Ottawa Water Filters Co
We bought a water filtration system from Ottawa Water Filters over a year ago. Shawn visited our home, gave us a quote and told us the water system would be in within 2 to 3 weeks. My mother was sick with cancer and wanted the system put into the house before she passed away. Twice he called to ask if he had put the system in our home and then said it would be a few more weeks until it arrived. We were installing the system ourselves and had just bought a system only. After 2 months we still did not have a system in place. My mom passed away and we cancelled the service. Shawn has said he would return the funds to us but it has been over a year and we have gotten a partial, (less than a quarter) of a return but not a complete refund. We have been very disappointed in his service and would like our money back. We continue to get excuses. We hope this has not happened to other customers.

Hi Kathy, you had purchased this system during the Covid crisis. That was at a time that there was a massive back order for the system you ordered. Many customers at the time was affected. I remained in constant contact with updates. When the system did arrive, I tried to offer you folks a FREE install to compensate you for the delay TWICE. We then proceed with the refund but the supplier wanted to charge you a %35 restocking fee. Since I was aware of the situation with your mother I tried to get the restocking fee cancelled Time passed as I did not want to bother you due to your mother. Your refund fell through the cracks so to speak and I am now refunding your purchase personally. I have refund you partially and continue to do so. I feel bad it did not work out and as I stated over the phone and in person, your remaining balance will be refunded very shortly. We are also willing to install the full system if you change your mind.
