We needed to get roughly 700 square feet or more of asphalt removed from our back yard and part of our driveway - and the original plans we had for the removal changed last minute. Not only were we hoping to find someone last minute, we needed to find someone who had the expertise and equipment be able to maneuver between two houses that are unusually close to one another.

Mr. Bobcat Services was recommended and we decided to give him a call.
We're so glad we did!

I left a message and Shay, the owner, called back very quickly. I explained our needs and timing preferences and sent him a few photos from my phone. He got back with a quote within an hour or two and, despite having a busy couple of weeks, said he could move a few things around and work longer days to help us get the asphalt removed so we could continue with our ongoing project without further delays.

The quote was lower than we were expecting based on the pricing of our original plan - and I was impressed with how prompt he was with communication - so we decided to go with him. Again, we're so glad we did.

I add that Shay showed up the next day on his own time - just to survey the area and make measurements, so there wouldn't be any issues the day the work was scheduled to be done.

It's rare to find a contractor who can quote quickly, set a date and time for the work to begin and be completed (one day in our case) - and actually have everything go exactly to plan.

He and one of his staff showed up earlier than expected on the day scheduled so they'd be set up and ready to go on time. And these guys weren't messing around, they were there to work. He was done when he said he would be done. And despite there being a little more to haul away than either of us expected, he invoiced exactly as quoted.

The job site was left clean and everything turned out so much better than I ever expected.

One added thing he did which was completely unexpected and over and above - he made extra trips both the day before and after the job - to ensure that our small street wasn't inconvenienced by having his bobcat trailer parked in front of our neighbours houses. He did this without even mentioning (or invoicing for) the extra time and effort.
