Goldwing Construction

Had several small jobs done by this contractor, and one big one. All projects were over budget and over schedule. All projects required the homeowner to finish the final details (Mr. Wing bailed to start other projects before he finished the work.) Small projects were manageable. Big project was not. Beware, this contractor charges by the hour, and continues charging as long as he can get away with it. Hires unlicensed and unqualified subcontractors for "cash". You will probably have to hire qualified professionals to fix some of the subcontracted work. Stay away from Goldwing, based in west Ottawa, ON.

I cannot say enough about the work of Brian and his team. His attention to detail, his customer care, and the quality of his work is second to none.

Our renovation was quite involved. We removed 800sqft of tile, and relaid new tile (this is a crazy job!), 12 new pot lights, 3 pendants, completely new cabinets, construction of a wall, plumbing for two sinks, and 400sqft of back splash.

At one time, Brian was coordinating no less than 4 different trades simultaneously. Truly a feet!

The pictures speak for themselves. His work has been extraordinary.

I am quite meticulous and can say that Brian's craftsmanship, and his attention to customer care is second to none.

Beware this general contractor. A good carpenter, but not a general contractor at all. Lacks the organizational skills and trade contacts to pull off any major job that requires a general contractor. Cost overruns were in the area of 50%, schedule overruns were in the area of 200%. Took off for other projects before finishing mine. Had to get nasty to get him back to finish the job. A good basic carpenter for small jobs, but not recommended for a major project.
