Garage Door Fiasco

Garage door banging down lower area one side. Technician, Hanza, came out . Did not look at door. Only worked on door opener , which was older, but had no problem before , but he said wires were finished ! I watched him. Told him he ruined it.
He ignored me. Talked into opener . After new opener, door issue was worse on opposite side., banging and rattling, He had no clue how to fix it. My daughters friend was even trying to help him. I was very upset by this whole situation then.
Company sent out Ahmed 2 days later . He went right to work on the door, tightened areas, fixed a section of the track . It was going smoothly in no time! He even tweaked the other opener, which had not been used for quite awhile and Hanza said was dead! He had wanted me to buy 2 new ones!
I regained faith in the company after Ahmed came out and would definitely request him in the future . Thus, a higher rating.
What should have been a service call only , cost me hundreds more for an opener, I did not need. Ahmed did offer to check mine out and reinstall it, however, if reusable. I appreciated his offer
and service and learned a valuable lesson in trust , as a senior.

Stay away from this company

This companies website shows numerous cities and telephone numbers trying to make you think they are a large company with locations all over Ontario. They have 1 location in Mississauga only.
I was repairing my garage door and purchased the bottom seal strip from them for $165.00. They have them in stock at all times and it is not a special part. Ultimately, my parents bought us a new door so I wanted to return the part. (Unused & in perfect condition). I was told NO RETURNS. Very poor customer service. Do not deal with this company. They are sketchy at best.

They Took My Money and Ran

Our family contacted them as they are "authorized dealers" for Lift Master Canada. We had an issue where our garage door was opening and closing on it's own. They came by and claimed to fix it, and we paid them for it. The problem wasn't fixed, as the garage door started opening and closing on it's own again. I have called them many times to come back and fix the problem. At first, they said they are waiting to hear back from Lift Master about receiving replacement parts and/or the go ahead to replace the whole unit. But ever since that conversation, they have not followed up with me, or returned any of my phone calls back and have pretty much abandoned my family. They took my money and ran. On top of it all, I contacted Lift Master regarding this 'authorized dealer' and they have no record of Garage One contacting them with my case issue and have no record of them ordering parts to fix my problem. I will update my review if they contact me back and fix the initial problem and/or offer an explanation and apology. But if you're still reading this: DO NOT CONTACT THIS COMPANY!

UPDATE (11/20/2020) - After several weeks, the owner of the company reached out to me through a representative because he/she saw my reviews on several websites. Through their representative, they expressed deep regret of my experience and wanted to correct the wrong. Since it was finally repaired (by myself) there was nothing more they could of done except for returning my higher end opener button in return of the basic button they gave me. That process wasn't perfect either, as I had to swap it out myself, but I appreciate them trying to make it situation better. According to their rep, they reprimanded the employees who gave me such a horrible experience. As a business owner myself, I understand how hard it is to have good employees working for you. Because of the owner reaching out to me, I improved their score.

Garage One, once they have your money, they wont come to do service calls if anything goes wrong with your parts or install

Got my garage door installed in October of 2019. Once the weather got cold, the remote keypad began to fail. I contacted Garage One and asked if they could come to look at it. They came on a day where the temperature was a bit warmer, and said there was nothing wrong with the keypad. I looked online and contacted another company who stated that it could be that the keypad is faulty so I contacted Garage One to come and take a look at the keypad again. They stated they would call me back to book an appointment (never got a callback). I contacted them after a few days because the keypad was working dependant on the temperature. They said I would get a call, again, I never received a call back. I contacted them maybe 5 times and would get the same answer, we will call you back to schedule a service call. However, they would never call me back. This issue has been going on since early January so I finally decided to contact the manufacture and they informed me that sometimes if the keypad has faulty wiring, it may not work in lower temperatures and I should change the battery to a lithium 9V battery. I did so and it still didn't work. I called Garage One again last friday February 21 to see if I can have them come in since they stated that they are a 24hr emergency service and guaranty the service and items with one year warranty. I felt pretty confident, they actually scheduled a service call to come in between 10am and 12 pm the following day, Saturday. 1:00 pm Saturday came along and no courtesy call to state that they will not be able to make it. I postponed my plans because they said they would be coming between 10am and 12pm. No technician came, no call to say they are running late or not coming anymore or to call to rebook. Quite annoying as I paid a lot of money to go with them since they guaranteed their work and service. I guess I just got bad luck. To solve the problem, I contacted another company and they said it was a faulty keypad so instead of waiting for Garage One to come through and fix it, I just gave up and dished out another $120 for the cost of the keypad and service call to this other company.

FANTASTIC garage door cable repair!!

FANTASTIC!! Talked with Ahmed about the need for a broken cable, rusted out and snapped on one side. He explained they come as a pair, and that they recommend replacing the door plates that they attach to (as they get rusted too), and that new rollers would likely be needed. Asked if I had 1 or 2 doors (2), and suggested that if the other one hadn't been replaced, it would likely need to be done at the same time, saving 2 service call trips (and over $100!).
When Qussai showed up (again as with other reviews, very polite and professional and on time), he showed me the cable, plates, rollers and all the rust, then on the other door which was also highly rusted. I agreed it should be done, and then he gave it 2 twists and it fell off too easily - glad I didn't have to call them back in a couple of months!
Pretty quick job (30-45mins?), cleaned up all the old parts and garbage, sprayed all the joints and rollers and tracks, and now both doors are humming. FANTASTIC!!
Thanks Garage One!

Garage Door Repair

This is the second time that we have used this company. Both times service was excellent and the job was done right at a fair price. We would definitely call them again.

Replace Garage Door/New Opener

I honestly can't say enough about Garage One, their employees (especially Nick) and their professionalism! I was at the Home Show in Toronto last month, specifically looking for a new garage door as ours was over 20 years old. I met Nick at the show, we discussed options, price and decided to go ahead and purchase a new garage door. BEST DECISION EVER! First of all the door is made in Canada by Canadians and is built for our winters - great quality door! Second, I spoke with a variety of garage door people there, but the price with Garage One couldn't be beat (we took advantage of the included windows as part of the Home Show Special). A small deposit was made to lock in our price and as promised, 2 weeks later Nick called to arrange a visit for accurate measuring of the new door and a discussion on finalizing our window options, as well as hardware decisions. Nick arrived on the set date and time and explained all options to us, it was at this time we decided to have a new garage door opener installed, to go along with the beautiful new door - a top of the line Lift Master. We were told that the new door would be ready around the end of this month (April) and we would be given a call a few days prior to set up delivery and an installation date. To our amazement, Garage One called us almost 3 weeks early to inform us the door was ready and arrangements were made for them to install the following week. As promised, they arrived on time with all necessary pieces to complete the install (including the upgraded hinges and handles we had chosen, as well as the Lift Master door opener. In just over 3 hours, our old door was removed (they were careful to preserve the old garage door opener so we could re-sell it), the new door and opener installed, light bulbs, along with inside wall mount and outdoor key pad and they even set up our truck to work with the new opener. They cleaned up and took the old door away. Efficient, prompt, promises followed through - we just couldn't have asked for better, Nick and his helper exceeded all expectations and that's saying something in this day and age! It's also the first time a home reno project went EXACTLY as planned and promised, with no hidden costs, changes in scheduling or other issues or problems - I would highly recommend Garage One as your 'go to' dealer and installer, you won't regret it!! Thanks again Nick, you were great throughout the entire process and we plan on telling everyone in our neighborhood about you and Garage One!!

Garage Door replacement

From my initial contact with Garage One to the completion of the job, there were no disappointments, setbacks, or postponements.
Every date set was met, the price never fluctuated, and the quality of the door was way above my expectations.
The Technician, Mohamed, was professional and skilled, taking care to add the final touches to make the job perfect.
I highly recommend Garage One for all your garage needs.
