I initially contacted Deri Construction to get a quote for the renovations I had planned for my house. I had the drawings from my architect and Lee came over to see the house and review the drawings. He seemed very knowledgeable and we were shortlisting him as a potential contractor. In the mean time, the parging on the side of our house had cracked due to weather damage from the winter and we asked Lee and he offered to fix it for us. It took Lee several weeks to finish the job. And every time something was done I had to send Lee pictures of the issues with lack of attention to detail. Although Lee is very responsive, the quality of work is lacking. He kept mentioning, that it's is because it's very difficult to tie the old with the new. It's hard to believe that this is the type of attitude when completing contractor type jobs in Toront. Most of the houses in Toronto are hundreds of years old and most renovations are to tie in the old with new. Needless to say, I'm glad we didn't choose this contractor for our renovations. We consider ourselves lucky that we had this work as a test run!

Sorry you were disappointed Maryam. Just a reminder the scope of work approved by you were window sills and NOT parging. After the work was complete you did ask about parging and you did express concern about the parging. I spoke to yourself and your husband and I did advise that I do not recommend parging over top as it is costly to do. I did recommend sealing the foundation wall to stop the foundation wall from absorbing water and again this wall approved by yourself and your husband. Also, it was done at no charge to you. Our correspondents were all through email, thankfully and the work was complete with extras. In summation, the work quoted was to replace deteriorated brick sills to limestone window and door sills. I will posted before and after photos.
