Caleb and Kurt, what can I say.. They are simply THE BEST!

They put their heart and soul in the job they take and it just shows! This is my second project with them and they nailed it once again ! I have included some pics from my backyard as well which was a separate project.

I originally called BB Backyards through a Google search to get a quote for handrails along our existing deck at our cottage. They were the only company who was willing to come out to inspect the deck and provide a quote. Every other contractor I called wasn't interested in such a small job. However, upon inspection of the deck, we realized the footings were not secure because the builder had used mailbox anchors rather than deck post anchors. We decided to tear down and rebuild the entire structure. Caleb and Kurt went above our expectations for the dock design, permit, materials used, communication, work commitment and flexibility. They used premium materials such as a nice brown pressure treated wood rather than the traditional greenish wood. They also used metal stair risers so it feels like the deck will last our lifetime. They ran into numerous problems during construction that they were always quick to problem solve. For example, our deck is on a steep hill with a significant amount of water run off into the lake so as they were digging for posts their holes kept filling with water. They ended up using metal posts that they drilled into the ground to provide a stable foundation for the deck. Another example was that they didn't realize we had a lake intake hose so during construction they accidentally punctured it. Rather than denying it, they offered to pay for the full repair job. Lastly, we lost a handful of days to bad weather so they worked overtime early in the morning to late at night so they could get the job done on time. They also built a little foot bath along the cottage that has been extremely useful as well as stands for our kayaks and paddle boards. We were only able to check in a couple times during construction at the cottage but they kept us updated often so that we were never left wondering what was going on. Caleb and Kurt were a pleasure to work with and we would definitely recommend them.

We recently utilized the services of B&B Backyards for work on our front walkway and are so pleased with the result. Our neighbours, friends and family have all complimented us on how amazing it looks. Kurt and Caleb were very professional and their workmanship very impressive. Would definately use them again for any future project!

B&B Backyards came and demolished our existing deck and replaced it with a composite deck. Our new deck looks great. The job site was kept neat and organized. We also replaced our front porch railing with a composite railing and are very pleased. B&B finished the job as scheduled and were great to deal with.

I love my new deck! They were so patient and produced exactly what we wanted.
