We hired this company to demo our backsplash and reinstall. The entire job was done poorly. The tiles were not level or all flush and the grout was applied horribly and discoloured. Overall, poor workmanship. After much complaining, they decided to have the backsplash redone at their cost, including the price of the tiles. I thought that was very fair and professional. This was the only positive thing I could say about this company. Almost two months went by before anything was done. After much communication, things finally got done. A two day job, turned into two months of annoyance and frustration. They wasted so much of our time and we had to look at a horrible backsplash for almost two months. The backsplash was finally redone by someone else, after I mentioned possibly wanting my money back. I'm so happy to no longer have to deal with this company. I'm only happy that they had it redone and even making that happen was a long, drawn out thing. I don't normally write reviews, but I felt the need to share my experience, so no one else has to deal with our situation. Be cautious.

BEWARE!!!! I normally don't do reviews, but I feel I need to warn people.

It was a complete nightmare from start to finish. Josie is more of admin side of the business and her husband Joe did the work. His work was absolutely horrendous. We hired them to demo our old backsplash and put up subway tile. Joe demoed our backsplash and didn't fix the drywall or smooth the wall before putting new tile on. This was the start of a brutal backsplash. He applied the tiles in a stupid way. The tiles were not level or flush/smooth because he didn't fix the drywall. The grout was put in terribly, was sloppy and you could see the glue from under the tile. I was unhappy and they tried to fix the crooked tiles, but it looked beyond terrible. The grout was discoloured. After much complaining, they offered to demo the backsplash and redo it at their cost, including the tiles we purchased. I thought that was very fair. I thought they were being very professional. Almost two months went by and nothing was done. When I finally said I was going to find someone else and wanted my money back, they found someone to do it. Joe had to come back to demo the backsplash he did. I felt we were not important clients of theirs. He came on three different occasions to remove and redrywall. He scratched our cupboards, pushed drywall through, which we found in our basement. Instead of coming one day and getting it done, he wasted our time by coming three times after he was done other jobs.
The gentleman they hired to redo the backsplash did an amazing job. I am beyond happy. Two weeks after the backsplash was done, I got a call from the gentleman they hired, saying joe was avoiding his calls and he had not been paid. I'm not surprised. After emailing them about what I heard, they said they would take care of it.

Dealing with Design and Conquer was an utter nightmare. I wouldn't trust them or recommend them to anyone. I couldn't wait to cut ties with them and not deal with them anymore. Maybe they are good at cupboard spraying, but don't ask them to tile anything.
