I had Trehane Carpentry do my two bathrooms and they turned out better then my expectations. I worked initially with Sean who was great and helpfully in the planning stages. He turned me over to Jeff a wonderful polite and excellent contract who left me at easy that the work would be done professionally and it was. Rene in the office is also great as ago between as my originals plans changed and modifications had to be done. A fabulous team I would highly recommend to anyone looking fr a contractor.

We signed with Trehane at the recommendation of a large home improvement store and were pleased with the timeliness and the quality of workmanship - on our 3 bathroom project. We dealt with Sean through the initial stage of the quote, making decisions and selecting fixtures, tile, etc then Jeff, the main contractor who was in hour home for over 20 working days. Jeff was professional, thorough and hard-working, always leaving a tidy worksite at the end of the day. He kept us informed and co-ordinated smoothly with a plumber, electrician and ceramic tiler as required and there were no delays. We also met Dave, Trehane's owner who was approachable and interested in progress and any issues.

Gutted the bathroom and started over. Replaced tub with a tiled shower, new floor, toilet etc.
Very happy with the work. Akram was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. He answered all our questions and made suggestions. He kept the job site clean! Although it took a little longer than we thought we are ecstatic with the outcome!

approximate 60' wooden fence to replace cedar hedge. Work was completed in a timely fashion; fence design exceeded expectations as our design was improved upon; pleased with quality of materials and workmanship; staff kept us informed as to progress of project and were pleasant to work with

Trehane did a good job in renovating our ensuite. Jeff and his crew were professional and responsive.

Dave and his team did a fantastic job painting and replacing wall-to-wall carpet in our basement. Sensitive to details, friendly and helpful staff. I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

The shower unit looks great! The only minor complaints I have is that the master bedroom had more tile dust than I expected but it's my first time, so it might be standard. The other thing is that the toilet seat is not quite level. You can tell by looking at the water in the toilet seat. It's not a big deal, but it's a little annoying.

The veranda has been well constructed with attention to detail from start to finish. We are very pleased with the finished product.

We had a major reno on our newly purchased condo a few months ago (two bathrooms, kitchen, flooring, painting and some alterations on walls and cupboards). We chose Trehane Carpentry in large part because of the helpful professional advice from their estimator, Sean, and the owner, Dave Ennor.

This was not an easy reno: the elevator was out of commission for three weeks so working material, tools, waste, etc. had to be carried up and down the stairs and kitchen cabinets and heavy appliances could not be brought up on schedule. The concrete floor had to be ground down in places to level the surface for the new hardwood flooring. We had to move in because the sale on our previous residence closed while the reno was still underway.

During all of this, the Trehane crew chief, Jeff, and his crew were courteous, flexible and resourceful in adjusting to the delays. They were always open to our comments and tried to satisfy our concerns. The electrical, plumbing and tiling subcontractors did very good work, with special mention for Kelly Konig and her painting team. As always in renovations, there have been glitches and retouching required but Dave has been very conscientious about attending to them. He really cares about doing a good job and satisfying his customers. We have no hesitation in recommending Trehane Carpentry.

This was our first major reno and I would have some advice for others like us: prepare a detailed layout plan for switches, outlets, b/b heaters, alterations, etc. because change orders cause delays and extra costs; go over the initial contract and any change orders with Trehane in detail to understand how and when work will proceed; be very specific about the material and accessories to be purchased and make sure they are available in-store because delivery delays can set back work for a week or more; be available to discuss and okay any changes that have to be made during the working day, so that things do not get slowed down.

Invoice said "run outlets, switches, and lights". Later when I said that was supposed to be a recessed outlet and dimmer switch, they said no, I didn't say that. My word against their word. After arguing, they finally agreed to install them, but it would be two weeks to get the parts. I said I would do it myself. Lesson learned, get every detail in writing. Asked for a proper receipt that showed the amount paid to Trehane for extra work. After arguing, the owner agreed to give me a proper receipt. Workmanship is fine. Paperwork and customer relations need to be improved.
