Hopewell Residential

We purchased a home from Hopewell it was in the process of being built when we decided to move forward we put a $50.000 deposit that included some upgrades we had picked and hired there realtor to sell our current homes. There realtor did a horrible job at trying to sell our homes we have to make so many price changes that we would loose money on our home when all was said and done we had to let our dream house go and loose the $50.000 deposit we had paid them. Please when you purchase a home from Hopewell make sure your previous home is sold first when all this Fell apart Hopewell did not give us an ounce of help no meeting about options of any kind they took our money and resold the house for the original price plus the upgrades the made nothing but money of us ... loosing $50.000 is mental torture it’s takes most families a life time to save that much money and to just loose it like that is awful

I've put off writing this review until we've lived in our house for a few months. It's getting two stars because, for the most part, we like our house and the sales and building process was positive. Post-purchase has been a completely different customer experience than what we were primed for while building. We've had several issues go basically unaddressed until you complain about them on Twitter, and even then it took months to have some things fixed, while others are still unresolved. At this point, I think my wife and I wish we'd gone with a different builder because the experience overall has been pretty terrible.

First time buyers, and this was a great experience buying from Hopewell and the awesome team from the front attached garage Chalsey and Rachel were beyond our expectations always helpful and worried about to find a perfect match for our family, we highly recommend Hopewell and their awesome staff to buy your home.

Kudos to Chalsey and Rachel who always offer great advices, even while selecting our upgrades. At the beginning, we were a bit stressed as this will be our first home but both Chalsey and Rachel made the process look so simple, easy and stress free for us. They took care of everything! They are also very prompt in responding to emails anytime we have questions. Thank you ladies! We really appreciate all your efforts in helping us achieving the home we wanted.

Hopewell has amazing floor plans with high standards which are reasonably priced. We did not even think of choosing another builder after comparing prices and the minimum standards they had. We knew it was going to be Hopewell!

Our site supervisor, Brent, was also very attentive and always answered our questions and explained everything as we are not construction experts! He gave great ideas of how to develop our basement in the future!

And we love our home sweet home!! We rate our overall experience with Hopewell 10/10!!! We will always recommend friends & families to Hopewell Residential.

We were absolutely blow away with everyone at Hopewell. From the moment we walked into the showhome until the moment we got our keys and even after, everyone has been so helpful, kind and easy to work with. I had met with other builders and felt a bit pressured about purchasing a home with them and all the costs that got added on after the fact. With Hopewell, they were super easy going and transparent about what we get with the house, what we would have to pay extra for, and never once did I feel like they were just trying to make a sale. Sarah, Olja and Lauren were with us every step of the way, answering any little questions we had and keeping us updated all the time. Our site supervisor Dennis was really on it about addressing any concerns and making sure we walked into an amazing home. I can't say enough good things about Hopewell and their team. They made the overwhelming task of buying our first home so much fun and we are absolutely in love with our new home!

Great experience overall. Stacy and the team at Mahogany were great. The house looks great and everyone who looks at it loves it. Great finishings and quality work. Would recommend to anyone who wants to live in the SE near a lake.

At first, we were looking for a house and weren't really even interested in the area, after seeing Hopewell's houses, we quickly changed our mind and were able to find exactly what we were looking for. since the house was a spec home, it was only 4 months away from completion which fit our schedule perfectly. we were amazed at how the basic selection for the interior finishes were very modern and high end (much different than what we were told by other developers)
we mainly worked with Stacy, Justine and Jenn and they were great to work with, always available to answer questions, giving us constant updates of the building progress and accommodating our visits even if they were just random drop-ins :).
We just received our house and we couldn't be happier with how it turned out (i advise anyone buying to seriously consider recommendations from the interior designers because they really know what they are doing, the house turned out beautiful)

In an attempt to find the right home for my family, I started to visit various residential new developments in Calgary. One weekend I found myself in Mahogany checking out the neighbourhood, services, parks, roads and accessibility, etc. and decided to check out some of the show-homes. I couldn't help notice the difference in customer service Hopewell provided me and my family from the very beginning to signing a purchase agreement.
Welcoming, knowledgeable, accommodating, genuinely listening to our needs and providing the best options and recommendations for our budget. Stacy, Justine & Jenn you are doing an amazing job!

Our sales representatives Chalsey and Rachel were really awesome and very patient to answer all our questions (even the silly ones). It was a very personalized experience and they both were really professional. Brent our builder was really knowledgeable and explained us about our house very well. Our overall experience of buying a house with hopewell was very smooth and hassle free and we would recommend Hopewell to all our family and friends.

Chalsey and Rachel were great from start to finish of our new home build. We had previously owned condos and townhomes and were ready for a detached home. Unlike other builders, we found that Hopewell's show homes were not "over" upgraded, and had great base options, so you had a real sense of what your actual home would look like. Other show homes would list a price that was very different from the reality of the real build by hundreds of thousands.

From start to finish we felt comfortable and not pushed by Chalsey and Rachel and once we committed, their follow up to our concerns was great. From the show home, to using their recommended realtor Danny, to using their lawyer and their previous home purchase program, to taking possession and for follow ups on inevitable defects on a new build, we have been extremely satisfied.

4 stars only due to a few limits we encountered on options, like wanting to wire surround sound during construction, to no option for heated floors and driveway, and wanting to move a non structural wall, we were limited to some extent but overall very satisfied.
