They stripped the old and replaced with new shingles on our north facing roof, with ice and water shield. The also installed a heat cable in eavestrough on our and adjoining house ($510 of total). As fas as I can tell from their pictures the roof (on third story) looks carefully done. They came only a few weeks after we accepted their proposal and performed on time and on budget. The owner and son and others were good to work with. They left the site clean. My only negative: the heat cable came without operating instructions so we didn't know till after installation that for long life it needs to be taken down every spring ($250 for removal and another $250 for re-installation), which, if we'd known, would likely have meant we wouldn't have purchased it.
