New management

New management, but same great technical staff.
Reading the other reviews leads me to believe that the service suffers when the head technicians go on vacation.
Those same great technicians are now running the business.
Best of luck

Damaged my phone & rude

Brought Huawei P30 for battery replacement, after they changed battery GPS and Bluetoth and WFI was not working. The employees, and staff are very helpful, lend me a phone while they repair.

The Boss is another story, he is rude, hostile and outright denial. His staff acknowledged the problem, but the boss changed the story, VERY HOSTILE over the phone.

I would not go back, because of his absolute dishonest and hostile attitude.

Headphone repair

Went in with a pair of headphones for repair. Initially quoted $80 and asked for a $40 deposit. Was assured that the deposit would be refunded if headphones could not be fixed. Employee encouraged me to pay the deposit by asking me how much I paid for the headphones ($300) and compared that with $80.

Got a call later that day saying that the headphones would cost $150 on closer inspection. I still went ahead with it.

A week later, I call them and they tell me that the headphones cannot be fixed. I ask for the deposit back, as promised and they instead tell me that they actually could repair the headphones for $300 (the price I paid for it new). They did not refund my deposit.

Had to get refunded through credit card chargeback

Tablet repair

Replaced a screen on my tablet. It was a terrible job. Had cracks at the edges of screen and the screen did not fit properly. Also, extremely rude customer service and would not repair their poor workmanship.

Tablet

EXTREMELY poor service! Please do not go there. We were treated in a very rude and disrespectful manner by a gentleman, who appears to the owner. He behaved this way for no reason...we called the store to check on the status of our repair and he basically told us we are wasting his time and in the future customers will be charged $5 for calling the store to check on repairs. Because a notification will be sent when the job is ready (we were not informed about this before). Hands down the worse service we have ever received in the world.

Horrible customer service

Absolutely horrible service. I used TechKnow space back in Sept 2018 to have the chargeport repaired on my iPad. Went to pick it up and there was an issue with the screen - yellowing near the edge, and ridges of what look like glue underneath the screen. I bring it back, the identify the issue as being part of the screen re-install and agree to fix it. Couple days go buy, get a call they need a new screen, wait for it to come in installed, and away we go. Fast forward to this year - my wife takes her phone there for a screen replacement. Upon pick up, identify the screen is not installed correctly as the glass is raised out of the casing, after pushing back a little bit guy acknowledges its wrong and fixes it. Now I don't know why I went back but my ipad had another issue - screen would not react to touch anymore. Take it in, takes 3 days for them to diagnose a logic board issue. Approve the repair for $395 bucks - go to pick up the ipad - first off its covered in glue all along the outer edges, it has tape everywhere holding it together, and of course HAS THE SAME ISSUE IT DID THE LAST TIME THEY TOOK IT APART - yellowing on a portion of the edge of the screen and glue marks under the glass. This time the owner, who just finished fighting with two other unhappy customers, decides he isn't going to take ownership of the issue they caused and tells me I have to pay them to replace the screen. Have a look at the picture - how is this any sort of damage I could cause? Especially since, they had the screen off to repair the logicboard. You be the judge - but be sure to stay FAR AWAY from this repair facility. I'm out $400 and now need to go have someone repair / replace my screen. Unbelievable customer experience.

repair of iphone screen

my iphone screen was cracked and i thought the worst had happened and i'd be out the $700 i spent on it

You could call Apple and they’ll charge you $200 or $250 depending on the capacity of your iPhone. They do not cover physical screen damage in their warranty. The screens are the same for both capacities (4 and 8 gigs) but they make money off you that way. But if you’re not in the States, you’re not going to get it done.

2. You could choose to buy a screen and digitizer for roughly $250 dollars and try to replace it yourself. The process is risky and could permanently damage your iPhone if you’re not super careful and use the exact tools mentioned.TechKnowSpace does it for $209 in Canada in 90 minutes. Most of you will think you could just buy a new phone. Don’t! A new phone may set you back as little as $450 (US) to $700. It’s worth getting the screen replaced
