We hired Lee to get our deck done. Total of $10k. We paid him $5k down. Every week he kept on asking for more money until he received 90% of the money. He asked for the last bit of the money to finish the work but his own contract states that $5k down and the rest will be after completion so im holding on to the last thousand. He never showed up for 2 weeks and now we are stiluck with a deck with no stairs and missing ballusters. It seems like he never bought the materials from the get go and now, we are suffering for his irresponsible behaviour.

Lee, the owner/contractor from Appearances Quality Renovations presented himself at my property and provided a quote for myself and my neighbour to put up a fence, do cement work and later check out our roofs for leaks. At first Lee came across very polite, wrote up the contract, and seemed very professional in his field. He told us that the job would take three days to finish and that we should remove the fence and dispose of it right away. He asked for 1/3 of the payment. A week into the project and the fence posts had not even gone up. Lee asked for more money and we paid him as he told us that he needed the money to purchase the supplies. When it was time to pour the cement Lee started yelling at us over the phone that if we didn't give Charles (his friend on this job) ALL the money he would not come back. We were left with nine fence posts standing for all the money that we had put in. So we paid Charles the rest of the money to have the job finished. This was a big mistake--Lee did not finish the job. The fence is horribly put together with large spacing to save fence boards, the gates are not secured, and the roofs are not completed. On top of it he left a huge pile of slabs that he was supposed to be used to renovate my neighbours side, which my neighbour paid $500.00 dollars for, on the front lawn, which is totally destroyed. He also left a big pile of garbage on my lawn in the back which my husband had to carry to the dump. Needless to say,Lee has taken my money and has left us with a job that is unfinished. What he did complete was very sloppy to say the least!
I will be contacting the BBB. Be careful when hiring this guy--he runs many ads on Kijiji for various types of work, but it is the same person, the telephone number is all the same. (647-990-6825).

I hired this company/individual to complete a railing on my deck. He took FULL payment and completed half the job saying he would return. On 5 separate occasions he said he would come...no show and no call. When I called him he yelled at me and hung up stating that he was "running a business". The work was awful and he is very unprofessional to deal with. Will be contacting the BBB in hopes of getting some money back to complete the job. Avoid using this company/individual. He has adds all over kijiji offering different services.
