The time had come where our residence was due for a roof replacement and though the age of the original shingles would be deemed pre-mature for replacement, there was damage to the shingles especially on the garage portion of the roof which was compounded by a downspout that the builder installed across the garage roof as opposed to at the side of the house. Having no choice but to take this project on, I was thankful for a referral from a personal friend who had used A Smart Roof Ltd. and much to my surprise - they were even better than promised!!! I was thoroughly impressed by the knowledge, professionalism, patient, customer-centric, educational, value-based approach to roofing replacement. Caroline went beyond the extra mile to ensure my questions/concerns were addressed and patiently educated me on the finer points of proper roofing practices - at one point during a phone call, I walked my street and provided addresses that had recently received roofing services and she took the time to view an aerial Google map image in order to point out and explain the differences in workmanship (sub-standard and above standard) while never wavering to enter into the realm of price-based selling to obtain my business. Caroline even provided me with locations where I could view a completed roof with the specific style/colour of shingles that were of interest to me in lieu of providing a traditional sample. Al and his team were professional, punctual, conscientious and diligent in ensuring all elements of my property and my neighbour's property (windows, AC unit, hot tub, patio furniture, gas meter, etc.) were adequately safeguarded from any roof debris. Upon completion of my roof and clean-up, I commended Al and his team - the crew were humble and graciously accepted a monetary tip that I provided them with as a testament of my appreciation for a job well done!!! In summary, my roofing experience with A Smart Roofing Ltd. was seamless, hassle-free and so pleasant that I would highly recommend these folks in a heartbeat to anyone who requires roofing services.

Getting completely new roofing for your home is a very daunting and often expensive item to put on your To Do List so it really helps when a wonderful, trustworthy company, A SMART ROOF LTD, steps in to ensure the job is done safely and beautifully. From the beginning, Caroline of A Smart Roof Ltd, checked in with me to answer all my questions and to discuss any concerns, ranging from pricing and timing right down to which colour of tiles would best suit the brick of my home. This checking in continued throughout the roofing journey. When the day arrived for the actual roofing to be completed, Alan and his team were efficient and hardworking while also generously taking the time to explain the steps they’d be taking. They produced quality work with beautiful results and reviewed everything they had done with me afterwards to be sure I was satisfied. Alan even noted an issue with my eavestrough that could be creatively rerouted to ensure greater longevity of my roof’s life and came back to do it shortly thereafter. We lost some shingles in a recent wind storm. Alan was able to fit us into his schedule before an expected rainstorm. He fixed our roof quickly and even fixed a few other small issues we were unaware of. He assured us our roof would last a few more years, and losing a few shingles was not indicative that we needed to spend thousands of dollars immediately to replace it. When we are ready to replace our roof, Alan will get our business for sure. We've already referred him to neighbours who also lost shingles in the wind storm.

Very professional team. The communicated time frame and weather delays. They took the time to explain options and educate me. Delivered a great looking product and cleaned up all the mess. Overall very happy with work and roof looks fantastic.

Along with 4 of our neighbors, we all decided to go with A Smart for our roofing projects. I can not say enough about Al and Caroline. Their responsiveness, workmanship and friendly demeanor are top notch. I loved the fact that Al (with 25 years experience) is on every roof, not just sending a crew out. His attention to details is amazing. The entire crew that work on our roof was also amazing. All very polite, hardworking and left the site spotless after each day. I along with 5 others neighbours contacted many roofing companies to obtain quotes on redoing our roof. We were all doing this for the first time and heard many horror stories and were skeptical, however I got feedback from someone which used A Smart Roof. I contacted them and liaised with Caroline and Al and they were fabulous from my first encounter until the job was completed. The pricing was excellent, the service was exceptional and my roof looks amazing. The entire process was easy, stress free and so convenient, they did it all. Very impressed with our new roof. Al and his crew did a great job. Everything went very smoothly from delivery of bin,shingles and crew arriving on time. Al answered all our questions and made suggestions where appropriate. Caroline was bang on in recommending a great color of shingle. One of the best experiences I have had after choosing a company from Homestars. From beginning to end the process was great. The price was way better than the 4 other companies I had quote. The crew was polite and meticulous with the cleanup and the roof looks amazing.

There is a reason that most of the neighbours on my street have used Al over the years. His work is tidy, his crew is respectful and neat, and his attention to detail show what a true professional he is. From helping us pick the roofing colours to the finishing details of repainting / replacing some vents in a new complementary colour we couldn't be happier. We had 4 quotes and Al wasn't the cheapest, wasn't the most expensive, but we feel we got the best job we could have.

Al was on site during the entire job and was able to explain some of the work as he was doing it. His wife was also very helpful in walking us through the process, dropping off samples etc.
