Troy Hull Home Staging

We hired Troy and John to remodel our kitchen in early November 2018. Troy is overly friendly and certainly means well, but his execution and lack of being present for the job untimely resulted in some of the poorest workmanship we have seen.

From day one it was a mistake. Troy ordered the wrong sized cabinets for our kitchen as he failed to measure the only window. As a result, everything was thrown off and blame was diverted to the cabinet provider (of course). Troy felt it was best to install the cabinets prior to re-wiring the lights and creating the bulkhead, despite our numerous suggestions. The cabinets were installed, then he proceeded to create a make-shift bulkhead around the cabinets using MDF - yes I said MDF.... See pics, the workmanship is grade 9 at best.

We had to repeatedly ask for daily corrections to be made for even the simplest of jobs such as leveling a cabinets, uneven doors, etc... all the while we were given excuses why it cant be done and or blaming the manufacturer.

Troy was quick to ask for upfront payment and I'm glad I held back on payment in full as the repairs have cost us thousands. In addition to this, Troy returned extra cabinets (from his faulty order) that we paid for and the manufacturer credited him our refund! We lost over 500$ on cabinetry alone and at no time did he think to mention this credit to us.

Just recently we discovered the wiring job in the attic that could have easily burned our home down. Wiring was left ungrounded, exposed to insulation and the boxes left uncapped. We were going to let this whole situation blow over but this was the tipping point for us in deciding to write the review.

We have since hired a local contractor and he has cleaned up the mess. We love our kitchen now but the thought of these two still leaves a bad taste in our mouths. Don't open your door or your wallet to these two talkers.

AMAZING Connection to get approx. 800sq' of flooring replaced. Spoke/met with Troy- what a super person, so easy to deal with. Then in came Jody, and WOW, the work was DONE- Jody was so pleasant, stress free and very capable. Everything was cleaned up during and after, which was important to me. There was no interruption of my need to come/go, communications were easy and thorough. Recommendations for future projects were on track with my thoughts- so I'm looking forward to continuing this working relationship. Thanks Guys!!-

I hired Troy Hull to paint my living room. I was very impressed. He was on time, did a great job, cleaned up after himself as he went along, and was very personable. The room looks amazing. Definitely two thumbs up!

Troy is very personable and punctual. However, his workmanship was horrible. Lines at the ceiling and wall and trim were not even at all. Parts of walls were not covered and big paint drops on walls. He used semi gloss on trim when I asked for eggshell and eggshell on walls when I asked for flat. If you want a nice guy Troy is your man. If you want a professional job he is NOT your man.

I want to thank Troy and Michael for doing an absolutely wonderful job. Not only was the job excellent they were able to come at a time that suited my schedule and they finished the job exactly when they said they would. They were pleasant, left the house clean and even helped put away a few things I was unable to move. I would highly recommend Troy Hull Home Improvements.

Troy and Mike came to do some taping and mudding repairs. Along with painting. They were very organized and professional. They cleaned up and put everything back to where it was and a job I thought would take 2 days, they completed in a day of awesome work.....Thanks guys and will call to do my next job......

Troy has done stellar renovation (truly transformation!) work in houses we were prepping to sell. He was integral in completing renovation work in our new home shortly after we moved in. Always excellent, professional service with attention to detail and always leaves the worksite spotlessly clean. Troy also has an innate ability with home staging -- he just gets it right. I highly recommend Troy and his crew!

Their attention to detail is excellent, they clean up after every work day and respect my home schedule. Their work is absolutely beautiful, colour choices are just wonderful and home staging sense is phenomenal !!! So much that I have had 3 properties sell the same day listed and for almost asking price because of their staging expertise.
