New Furnace

These guys are truly the best in the industry. Very courteous staff, receptionists was very help full in arranging the installation. Service was excellent , showed up when scheduled, put down carpet to not damage floor. They had to enlarge my crawl space excess hole to get old furnace out and install new one, great job. Also installed new energy efficient thermostat. The service is second to none. This company exceeded my expectations in both service and price. I highly recommend them.

Faulty furnace quote

Horrible, horrible, horrible service! Called this company twice for service and both times they misdiagnosed the problems with my furnace. Initially, the techs told me the thermostat was faulty so I bought a new one. I paid them $168 for the service call and was out another $100 for a new thermostat that likely wasnt even faulty. Then furnace broke again in less than a week and they sent the same inexperienced tech who said the circuit board was now fried.

I didnt like his condescending tone when I challenged him on his 5 minute diagnosis so I called a local company who came to diagnose the furnace. They spent time diagnosing the issue and got it working the same day! The techs said there was nothing wrong with the circuit board after all. Shocking!!!

I called the office back and spoke with Val, who was equally as condescending, and told her to cancel the part order as the furnace was up and running. Confirmed the diagnosis was faulty and refused to pay for the service call. She had nothing to say as she assured me the same morning her tech was amazing and she completely trusted his skills :0)

Dont waste your time trusting True North as theyre only looking to charge you $149.00 + taxes for faulty diagnosis on service calls and then try and feed you a bill for parts and labour that are working.

new furnace install

Have known about True North heating for 5 or so years on other jobs. When it came to replacing our 20 year old furnace there was only one call too make, Jim and his crew were fast clean and on time and budget.I personally had seen other installations by this company on numerous occasions. You won't be sorry, and they came out once before on a service call on our old furnace on a freezing cold Sunday within the hour and got the heat back on.

New Furnace & A/C

New to Bowmanville, based on great recommendations, I contacted James to just clean & tune up my furnace in preparation for the cold weather. I was blown away as he explained more & more problems with the very bad installation, illegal actually, and condition of not only the furnace but A/C as well. When I'd heard enough I asked him how much? He said that he was not going to charge me anything because he couldn't service it properly.
I know when people are honest and very knowledgeable and said to him, "I mean how much for a new high efficiency furnace & A/C?" He quoted me a very reasonable price and I gave him the go ahead. Several days later two Tradesmen arrived precisely on time and started the job. Because of additional work to be done several hours later another truck and two more men joined the job.
I threw in that I also wanted a gas line installed on the other side of the house for a gas stove that I was purchasing (not included in the original quote). Within a 1/2 hour, another truck and two more servicemen joined the job to install the gas line!
I am extremely pleased with the entire job that was done, the difference the new equipment makes in my home comfort and professionalism and courtesy of everyone in the Company that I dealt with.
To rate them on a scale of 1-10, I would give them a 20!!!
