Buildstrong Masonry

Were very happy with the service we received from BuildStrong Masonry. They provided a quick, courteous response to our request for a quote on the work required. The quote was thorough and they readily answered all of our questions regarding the areas needing repair for which we provided photos. The job started and finished within the timeframe they quoted. The workers were polite and worked diligently to complete the job. They worked quickly, accurately and cleaned the worksite thoroughly. We would definitely call them again if we needed other work done.

The bricks and cement on the detached side of my house was starting to crumble and the company came in and took off all the loose pieces and filled in and parged the masonry and sealed everything with a special caulking so that there will not be any leaks. The guys were very friendly and efficient they did the work within 1 day and cleaned up after themselves. Very happy with the work and extremely satisfied with the company.

Very happy with these guys. The owner provided various quote and options, varying in prices and went over best options which suited our needs over expensive ones. The worker was out working hard all day in a tight space and did great work. Highly recommend them for your masonry work jobs.

Buildstrong worked on an exterior archway on our home. They were very professional to work with, and the job looks amazing. I could not be happier with the quality of the finished work and how fast they completed the job. We are very picky, and we had nothing to complain about whatsoever. Definitely will call them if we need any other masonry work done in the future.

Our exterior basement staircase was in dire need of some masonry TLC, especially after finding out a portion of the staircase had crumbled providing the perfect conduit for rats, yes, rats to enter our basement. René came over to assess the staircase and seemed very knowledagble. He was super honest and actually talked us out of doing a few things to the walls (e.g. parging-painting over concrete) as he noticied the walls had been patched by the previous home's owners in various ways and had shifted a bit over the years. He recommended patches to fix major issues and to keep an eye on things. His crew was very polite and their work was great. Would hire them again!

This was a small job and I got the impression from other companies that it wasn't worth their while to come and repair. Dealing with Rene was a pleasure though, and he sent JL over to do the work for a fair price. JL was perfectly friendly and did a great job. I'd happily deal with both of them again in the future.

A stone fell down from front porch arc. Rene and his team are very friendly and professional. The job is done great. I am highly recommended Buildstrong Masonry team. Excellent!!!

If you are looking to have some masonry work done and are scouring a list of companies, stop at “B” and contact Buildstrong Masonry. In this day and age when it seems the only thing left in customer service is the customer, this company is different. They have old fashioned values and exemplify everything you are looking for in a company…..quick response time, professional and friendly, very detailed in describing the scope of the work, are happy to answer questions, and are fair and competitive with their pricing.

I originally found Buildstrong Maonry while searching the Better Business Bureau website (they have a BB Rating of A+ so already a point in their favour). I live in an older home and I was looking to have either tuckpointing or parging done on the stone foundation wall on the side of my house. I sent pictures via email to Rene and he replied promptly to discuss the work. He recommended against parging the wall so as to not cover up the beautiful stones, and instead recommended just replacing the mortar i.e. tuckpointing. I was so happy to hear that parging was not necessary as I have always wanted to keep the look of the home as close to original as possible. He also provided options on how I could enhance the look of the stone wall. Once the scope of the work was determined, I received a very detailed quote shortly thereafter.

Everything was pretty much done via email which, given my baby boomer status, was a little unconventional for me, but definitely efficient and convenient.

The work was completed by Mike, who was very professional, kind, thorough and efficient, and clearly enjoyed what he did and took pride in his work. The site was also left very clean after the work was completed. I would definitely use Buildstrong again and would not hesitate to recommend them to family and friends.

Buildstrong Masonry did an excellent job repairing cracked brick on the exterior of my home. They were courteous and professional and did excellent work for a lower cost than I was quoted by other companies.

Rene and his team did a great job last year repairing the parging and flagstone on my house. They were very reasonable, professional and Rene was very good at keeping in touch as to when they could do the job.
I contacted Rene this spring when I noticed there were hairline cracks in the mortar around the flagstone they had repaired. After sending him some pictures, he was quick to reply that they had in fact used the wrong mortar and that he would repair the job with a better material at no cost. The crew came and basically had to redo the entire landing. It was quite the job. We are very happy with the work and would recommend them..in fact I already have.
I was quite impressed at how Rene stood by his commitment to quality and service. Would definitely use them again.
