Aeroseal Tech Inc.

After I moved into my 3500sqft home, I noticed during the Summer, the second floor was always a few degrees warmer than the first floor. It made sleeping some summer nights difficult. The registers on the second floor barely had any noticeable pressure when the HVAC system ran. This was not as noticeable in the Winter since heat rises.

An initial solution I had attempted was, I obtained additional wireless temperature sensors for my Nest thermostat as an attempt to force the HVAC system to reach a target temperature specified for the second floor. This improved the situation a tad but the HVAC system was running almost continuously.

I had heard about Aeroseal on This Old House and felt it might be applicable to this home. After contacting Victor for a quote (whom went into great detail about the whole process), I agreed to proceed with Aeroseal'ing my home and I am so glad that I did!

The house was Aeroseal'd late May 2022 and (as of writing this) it is currently July 2022. Immediately following the Aeroseal, we recovered over 300CFM and noticed a huge improvement! Even during our major heat waves that hit over 30 degrees, we were able to keep the second floor at a cool 22 degrees! That was previously impossible!

All I can say is it literally works and does exactly what they say it will. Our upstairs was always at least 5 degrees hotter than the main floor. We tried upping the insulation in the attic, and even went as far as replacing the entire HVAC system and zero improvement. These guys come along, and in 3 short hours solved a problem that existed since day one. It truly is unbelievable, and there is now less than 1 degree difference at best. If you have hot or cold rooms, then these are your guys! Amazing experience.

The overall duct sealing results: From 26.4 CFM of leakage! To 7.3 CFM of leakage, corresponding to a whooping 97.3% Reduction in Duct leakage.

To me, Aeroseal work is very professional and they know what they do. The results were impressive.

My basement duct was disconnected in different places (over 50%). My basement was very cold and no air on the top floor. After all the fixes we are very happy.
Yesterday the temperature outside was 30 c, but we are in comfortable temperature. No more complain from anyone in our home.

The results were beyond our belief. A duct had been disconnected and 43% of our heating and cooling was being wasted. Half our house was not being heated or cooled. No wonder we had cold or hot bedrooms. After Aeroseal Tech finished we have even heat in all rooms in the house. The temperature in the farthest bedroom upstairs is the same as our dinning room which is right over the furnace on the main floor.
We are looking forward to dramatically reduced heating and cooling costs. This is the best investment we have made on this house.

Our older home had major temperature differences between the upper and lower levels. Through family we were recommended AeroSeal. Extremely happy - in both the winter and summer (now proven) we see roughly a 1 degree difference between our upper level and lower level now. They spotted major duct work problems in our basement that was causing a majority of our air conditioning just to blow into a broken duct and drywall ceiling.

It is just amazing how much our heating and overall air flow has improved, after Getting our air ducts sealed by Aeroseal Tech!

We had hot rooms and could rooms, plus a big differential from the basement to the top level. We have three levels including the basement. We also had the two rooms furthest from the furnace upstairs get very little airflow. Hot in Summer; cold in Winter. Now these rooms have so much air the vents literally blow off. Rooms are better balanced. We tried many things before we sealed the ducts with aeroseal with many HVAC people looking and even had our furnace and AC changed. Nothing made a difference like sealing the ducts. High recommended .

Tech's were polite, efficient and knowledgeable. Noticed right away a great improvement on efficiency of our furnace and air-conditioning. Worth every penny!
