The burner on my Broil Mate was not working right for a few years, sort of intermittently heating up fast as it should and then taking a long time other times. Couldn't figure it out and called Grillsmith. They aren't the cheapest, but you're paying for their doing the fix on-site so you don't have to lug your BBQ anywhere. If they figure out it needs a big enough repair to go to their shop, then they'll handle that too. Worth it to not have that hassle yourself, I'd say. In my case, they fixed mine right where it sat on the back deck. The technician determined it was a combination of a faulty switch and also the regulator value was sticking, so he showed me a way to fix that when that issue comes up. Fast and on site, so very happy with their service. They also do 'spruce up' maintenance on BBQs that aren't looking so good after years of use, but didn't need it in my case. Will call them first if I have a BBQ issue again down the road.
