TERRIBLE Product, Salesperson, Store management
Originally went to the Brick in Weston Road and Highway 401, and the sales people were too busy to assist us. We were going out of town and stopped at the Brick in Belleville, ON to place our order. The sales person Janice was nice, and seemed to be helpful. She sold us a captain’s bed with a mattress, 2 night stands, a Chester drawer, washer and dryer for $4,870.13. The delivery we were told would be Jan 23rd, 2018. Two day before we got a call that the items did not arrive like they were supposed to and our delivery would be Feb 1st, 2018. We were told we would get $100 credit for the compensation. (NEVER RECIEVED)
The items arrived, and there were 3 delivery men. The driver was AMAZING!!!! The assistant driver was having an off day and argued with me in my own home. The new guy was good and helped the driver. The assistant driver called their head office and said that my dryer was not unplugged therefore they could not remove the dryer. Out of 12 screws there were 2 in the wall, as I could not remove without having the dryer lifted off. The driver came in and saw that and said that he would hold the dryer while I removed the 2 screws.
The legs for the night stand were missing when the stand was delivered to us. I wrote this on the paperwork. I was told that they would ship as soon as they had the part.
The bed frame was NOT put together, and we had to do this ourselves. My husband told Janice, the sales lady that he would do this while I was in the ladies room. My husband put together the bed and then we added the mattress. The total height from the floor to the top of the mattress was 48". I needed a step ladder to climb into bed. Going to the bathroom in the middle of the night was scary, as you did not know if you would fall out of bed, or make it back into bed on a step ladder in the middle of the night. I took pictures and sent to The Brick (store manager Barbara and sales Rep Janice) and was told that I would have to reselect a mattress.
We went to a local Brick store and selected a new mattress. The cost of the new mattress was $1,049. They would give credit once the mattress in my house was picked up by the Brick. (STILL WAITING FOR THE CREDIT).
After the new mattress was delivered (Feb 24th), we were laying in bed, and head a CRACK! This new bed had cracked (March 10th). We called the Brick and spoke to Barbara, Store Manager of Belleville who said that we needed to take pictures of the piece of wood that was cracked. We had to remove the mattress and tried our best to take pictures (sent March 15). She said that she would have a technician call us next week (March 19) and never heard back. I sent another follow up email and received an out of office and to email bel@thebrick.com and never heard back from that email address either.
Tuesday March 27th, 2018 we were laying in bed and a very loud CRACK and our feet were up in the air and our heads on the floor. The underside of the bed had broken and needed immediate repair. We went to Home Depot and spent $378 on material to fix the bed, and then spent 6 hours fixing the bed so that we could sleep in the bed. AGAIN sent an email to this bel@thebrick.com and Barbara, The Brick store manager and never heard back.
EXTREMELY FRUSTRATED!!!!! The Brick does NOT keep their word, and is only out to sell you something for their commission. The service is TERRIBLE!!!! Consumers, I shopped at the Brick because I thought the price was good, but in the long run, The Brick is NOT worth the entire headache and the STRESS!!!!!
