At first I was very happy with the service. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Then it started to go downhill when the two movers took much longer to get everything into the truck than it should have taken. I felt that the speed they were moving and the amount they were carrying seemed to show they were paid by the hour. Perhaps two people wasn't enough (although it was only a 2 bedroom apt) and so I wasn't thrilled when I saw there was a third person, but apparently he only drove the truck, he didn't help with the move. The new place was 10 minutes away. By the time we started unloading at the new place it had been 4 hours, plus the hour of driving time you have to pay. Two of us decided to start doing the unloading with the movers to make it go faster. I couldn't believe how exhausted I was given that I was paying someone else a lot of money to be doing this. They told me they would put runners down on the carpet, (which were white and newly cleaned and it was raining out) but they didn't and so they would just drop stuff at the door and we would carry it into the apt and put it where it belonged, this included the couch and king size bed. I'm not sure why they didn't put down runners or at just take their shoes off for these items. The unloading (due to us helping) only took 1.5 hours. I paid as the last pieces were being brought out of the elevator and then all of a sudden, everyone was gone and the three heaviest pieces (eg. kitchen island, dresser) were left sitting outside the door. Again, I'm unsure why they couldn't have taken off their shoes and brought these items in rather than leave what was basically the hardest part for us to do ourselves and then leave without saying anything. I was very unhappy and won't be recommending this company to anyone. I found them on homestars and chose them based on their rating and the reviews I read, but that wasn't at all what I saw in our case.
