I was told we needed a new heat exchanger following our annual maintenance visit. After the technician left promising that a salesman would call me to quote on a new furnace as the heat exchanger was not covered under our plan, I discovered that our heat exchanger was still under warranty. I then talked to several people at Direct Energy who confirmed that the heat exchanger was still under warranty and they could replace the heat exchanger at a cost of $800 plus HST. When I questioned the cost they told me it was a four to five hour job that would probably require two technicians. I agreed to go ahead and the next day ONE technician showed up and finished the job in about one hour and a half. He could not do anything about the cost and I have not heard back from the phone message I left for "Tom" or letter I sent about the outrageous cost and dishonesty regarding the difficulty of the job. Once my maintenance contract is over (which did not even help me with this repair) I will never deal with Direct Energy again.

We noticed that our furnace fan stopped running and the house was getting cold. I phoned Direct Energy and they sent a technician to our home in the time slot they arranged for us. Fortunately, we have the Protection Plan and it covered the cost of the service call and the part. The technicians were very knowledgeable and courteous

Call in to Direct Energy as my furnace was not working. A very friendly rep spoke with me and scheduled an appointment (a bit later than I would have preferred but better than anyone else could do!). Technician showed up during the window provided and fixed the problem in under 30 minutes. He even made some recommendations. I was nicely surprised at how easy this entire process was. Direct Energy is my go-to from now on!

Horrible service. They signed me up for a plan, my house was freezing and although I called before 5, they couldn't do it that day. They scheduled me in for the next day, and never showed up for that. Extremely dissapointed with the service.

our Ac did not work all of a sudden at the beginning of summer we called direct energy and they found that it was a lose connection. we also signed up for insurance for a year with them (all for 300 dollars-cheaper than just the repair with other company!

Direct energy fixed my hot water heater in 3 mos ago for $800. Now it is not working. Called Direct Energy. The initial service representative did not know the warranty period for the work done. The warranty was only 60d. Her supervisor, Michelle, employee # 137233 was not helpful. I could not see going with Direct Energy again given the cost, the short warranty and really no assurances that they would provide a competent repair. Bosco Home Services for me. Goodbye Direct Energy.

I've been using their services for years now. We are never disappointed. our 23 year old furance is still ticking but can't last forever. we've reached out to them to price up a new one. Great work.

My rental water heater decided to not heat our water past luke warm one day and so I knew we had a rental water heater so a service call should be free, and it was. A gentleman came by to look at it and showed me what was wrong and what needed to be done which was nice of him. He said the mixing vale needed to be replaced and that it would be around $100 for a new valve. A was on the fence about it because I thought maybe I could get it at a plumbing supply store for cheaper so I said I would call D.E if I wanted the part. Not a day later a package shows up at my door and it's the new valve! The gentleman dropped it off free of charge, as a student I was so happy. We need more people like this in the world. Not sure if I should call to thank him because he might get in trouble or what. Anyways, absolutely superb service!

I hired them to do my first visit whihc went great - I was told what to expect for government rebates and testing was done. When it came to final visit year or so later, they send a different guy that measured air pressure etc but could not tell me anything about results because he was not first guy nor had the info, he said. So I was not educated about anyhting, results were not shared at all and I received 2/3rd of what I was promised from government, and to this day I still dont know if they did the applications right given they had no clue nor could share with me, to this day (2 years later) the results of their "tests"

I typically furnance inspection every two years. This year we got a Direct Energy Promotion offering furnance inspection for $7.5 per month, and I decided to jumpt onto that. The technician was very courteous (that was a pleasant surprise given my past experience with Direct Energy), and he did the job in a professional way. I would hire Direct Energy for my next furnance inspection.
